Mic problems.

Well, i got this problem. My mic doesn't work in all of my games and vent. Actually everything that uses a mic on my pc. When i talk into my mic, it makes a loud hurricane like sound. First i thought it was the mic i was using, So I bought a new one, but i still have the same problem. Please help me

in your control panel under sound and audio devices (when using classic view of the control panel) check to see that under the tab voice that you have your sound card listed as the default device for use. Also go under the tab audio to select your default device there for your speakers and audio playback.

do you have your mic plugged into your sound card or a jack on your computer case or other spot.

go to programs > accessories > entertainment > Master Volume

then make sure microphone is either muted or turned all the way down.

well nothing works. I dont know much about sound devices and stuff. So what would it normaly be called. got 4 units.

1.Realtek HD Audio input
2.Realtek HD Digital input
3.713x BDA Analog Audio Capture
4.713x BDA Analog Audio Capture (

I have tried to test them all. But i can only hear something when i use Realtek HD Audio input.

Sometimes on board audio doesn't like to work well, I've had problems on different motherboards. If you don't mind spending a little money, go to walmart, buy a Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card for 30 bucks, and that should do it. I have one, and the sound quality was actually improved.

real tech is the onboard sound card of your mother board and the setting 1.Realtek HD Audio input would be the correct one. Try plugging the mic into the mic jack on the back of your computer. there should be six colored jacks one is for your mic and the rest are for your speakers and see if that helps.

If you know the manufacturer and model number of your motherboard then go to the motherboards site and look for the soundcard driver for your motherboard. and reinstall it.
