Hlstats - Disable chat spam!

[GardenGroveVW]

1. Push y (all chat)
2. type hlx
3. Press enter


4. You will get a screen that looks like this below:

5. Next push 9 to get to the second menu like below:
6. Hit 1. Console Events

7. Disable both of them:
a. Disable Events
b. Disable Global Chat

This will help you clear all the crap the hlx puts out. Its not server side so there is nothing we can do. You need to do this your self.

We recommend that all admins please disable these. Its very hard to catch problems in the server when you have this spam going on like crazy. Please do so to avoid feature problems. We might think you aren't admining.

Good riddance to HLX ( At least on my side ). Only useful thing about it is to cross-check SteamIDs.

I do the following to shut it all off:

1) type "y" for the chat window
2) type hlx_display 0 and hit enter

and they all turn off.

it has to be done for each time you join a server

Thanks for this tip. Have always wanted to get rid of them just for the sake of keeping the HUD clean. Plus, the tip gave me cause to log 30 mins of TF2 in between working--it was for testing purposes, I swear!

No, once you change your settings it stays that way.

You do need to do it for every server though.
