I and somebody else had gotten 28 days later and 28 weeks later and we were talking about what we would do in a situation like that. Me personally I would take the advice of Max Brooks Zombie survival guide and get a couple of useful people together (people with medical knowledge, agricultural knowledge and so forth.) find a place fortify it, knock out the stairs and only leave to forage.

So what I'd like to know is what would you do? You are watching the news and it's still in the early stages of a breakout what would be the first thing you would do? What supplies would you take? Who would you bring with you? Where would you go?

Just to make it easier we are talking about the slow head shot Zombies that moan and alert more if they see you. (Romero-Brooks)

I'm interested to see the different plans people would have in a situation like this. Have fun!
 
Going to the gun shop and have some target practice on some zombie heads!
Then barricade myself in a Walmart, so I won't run out of food.
 
i would hope to wake up from my dream as soon as possible..

But seriously..

I would get all my buddies and build a fortress out of steel and mortar, and create a self sustaining armory (re-use the same shells). Also, there would be a 20 story sub-level bunker that serves as my population of minions that grow food for me, develop better weapons... the upstairs area in the fort would be on lock down from underground civilians.. and you would have to wear your Crysis suit or else you would get demoted...

Foxtrot... you had my exact zombie plan. Wrangle up some guns, use all the stuff in walmart to survive, plus they still have some ammo. Not to mention all the stuff to keep yourself entertained. It's always screamed "perfect zombie sanctuary" in my mind.
 
You all should read Wolrd War Z, but what I would have done in a zombie situation: Lock myself down in the cellar with loads of food, water etc, and my computer ;) And why get guns and stuff when you can find a real nice place to hide? I don`t think Walmart would be the best choice, too big, you wouldn`t even notice the zombies comming :/

Lol i would find a apartment go to the top floor as you said not out the stairs get crates of food get atleast 10 other ppl and get guns and ammo. Also only go out for more food and for that I will find a apartment near a wal-mart or plaza
 
Well maybe I would do what came said just a cellar but you eed other people so you dont get bored but question what do you do after that eventally your food and water will run out.
 
Zombie survival guide is the best book ever and I would follow his book to the end of time
I would go to my school that on a hill it as the biggest free standing wall and its 3 floors high and next to a marine base

I have crates of MRE's already, so I would just need to provide water and a place to go. Id probably grab my plethora of firearms and head for one of the tanks that is down the street from me and make myself a path through the zombies until I came upon a woman to procreate with and repopulate the human race. Fortification isnt a problem when you live on a military base.
 
I'd take the cowards way out if the "APT knock out stairs and keep my farmer friends plan" failed.
 
all i need is a squad out of 6 people...2 mg3's....enough ammo....food.....drinks....good music..and a place i know...and stuff 2 use as a fort....
 
That might possibly be the worst movie I ever wasted precious minutes of my life watching.....
 
When a zombie scenario is talked about, its assumed that like 90% of the Earth is infected, and everyone plans to be the 10% survivors. I'm just going and assuming I'll be one of the 90% and not care about anything else.
You should see my credit card bills.

No what I just thought of owns all your ideas you go to the u.s.a and launch all the nukes on china and blow up the world......no more zombies......but no more you........Good plan?
