Couldn't allocate any server IP port

I have Vista. I played on in-game server, not on dedicated!

Now I cant play! I can't connect or create my own server!

Help me please!

is that a steam error? if so, this may be due to the recent update. i would suggest shutting down and restarting steam. if that doesn't work, you may have an issue with your computer. let's start with that, though.

i have been having the same problem and i still have no fix. valve really needs to work on this and fix it.

Can you please give a little more information?
Define "I can't".
Are you trying to run your own server?

If this is correct, please type the following into console:

clientport 27006
hostport 27016
tv_port 27021

After that, please forward those ports on your router, if this applies. This will open those ports for communication. Please be aware that by opening ports, you take risks. Damage is not likely to occur, but may and you can not hold eGO/Ric responsible.
Please also make sure that your IP stays Internal for your server and not external.

ok Ric heres the details i can't even create a lan server. i can't join anyone's online game even if it's my laptops. i don't know why this is happening on only one of my computers not to all and this is my good computer. so if we can get this fixed soon i would be very grateful.

Have you tried a reinstall of the game?
It sounds like whichever server you joined might've thrown your correct settings off of track.

Please make sure that you allow incoming communication from STEAM.
This includes forwarding ports, making exceptions in security software, etc.
