For those who know me know that I play sniper a lot. I'm not against all snipers. I'm against those snipers who see that we have 3 or 4 snipers and decide that we need more. Some maps warrant that number of snipers but 2fort isn't one of them. Although it is a good sniping map there isn't much room on the battlements for 5 snipers. Sure they can snipe elsewhere like the front doors but that usually isn't the greatest place to snipe because of the lack of protection the front doors give you. Spies and any amount of enemies can easily kill you there. If your team is pushing the enemy back into their base you're safe but usually if you miss a shot you're dead because of the lack of protection.
While there are 5 snipers there is a shortage of other classes. This hurts the team so no matter how hard the rest of the team tries we usually come up short and lose unless another sniper or two decide to switch classes. There are pubs that say something about how many snipers we have and most of the time 1 or 2 snipers do change class but sometimes nobody changes and we have to live with 5 snipers.
My biggest question is why people think a team needs 5 snipers? Or are they just thinking about what they want to play regardless of the team?
I'm just ranting because this annoys me and I needed to say something. I may be completely in the wrong here but this is just what I've observed.
