BattleField 2 or BF 2142(PC only)

I've played both, but I mostly enjoyed BF2 because I LOVE flying in the jets :d
 
BF2 all the way. Stay on topic here, he is asking for needy advice on which game is better.
 
BF2 - definitely. There is still a huge active player base and the list of free mods is never ending. Hell, it is only $9.99 at best buy. You can't go wrong.
 
Personally liked BF2142 more, but I think it was primarily personal preference for the setting. Performance should be fairly similar as 2142 is essentially an officially modded BF2 (it should run a little worse, as it adds some bloat). I'm not sure about BF2, but 2142 was a little rough on RAM and performance deteriorates a bit for <2GB, which shouldn't be an issue for an up to date machine, but if you're running it on older hardware it may be something to consider.

As for servers, I'd strongly recommend TacticalGamers BF servers (both 2 and 2142) as they run admin mods that force everyone to join a squad, and playing BF without a squad is sad squared.
 
I like the gimmick that BF 2142 has to offer...but I'm gunna have to go with BF2

Two words: Drop Pods

BF2142 would have me for nothing else but the experience of podding in on a squad leader back behind enemy lines on maps like Gibralter. It's a personal thing, but nothing generic modern warfare setting #213 offers can compare for me :D

Hey, I never claimed it was anything but sheer personal bias that made me prefer 2142 ;) But if you can find me another game that lets me watch in the first person as my space marine respawns from orbit, I'd prolly play that too. :D

okay i think i decided ill get my brother bf2. lol graphics is the main problem for me to be concerned about thanks guys
 
Which Do you Like and WHY? BF2 I have all of them so thats my fav
which requires more graphics? Both are the same
quick storyline of each? Not much of a story line
vehicles? what kind? bf2142
solo gameplay? bf2

My favorite attack -

Getting in the FAV - putting it on third person, and ROADKILLING! :D

Also - I hated armor. I got a 32 kill streak riding in armor. :( I tried to stay away from it unless the round started going bad.
 
In BF2142 You have the Bipedal Robot to fight in :D. I just love that thing.

If you also notice BF2142 and BF2 are similar in 90% of things.

BF2142 Just has more stuff to unlock than BF2. Most of the stuff you get in BF2 you have to unlock in BF2142. If I remember correctly grenades was an unlockable item?
