Omg!
Did you guys even read the article:
"According to court ordered psychological assessments, video games were NOT found to have directly encouraged the boys' actions. But barring their access to such games was nonetheless a recommendation put forward in the assessments."
It is just punishment for what they did without having to face any jail time, it's like forbidding a kid from eating candy when he misbehaves, just because kids like candy.
Instead of jail time they get:
- No video games
- One year probation
- 100 hours community service.
- Therapy
- Pay $250 restitution money each
- Curfew
MY VERDICT:
This specific ruling looks ambiguous to me because the judge could have said no movies for a month or no TV for a month, but since he knows kids like video games he hurts them where it hurts the most....video games.
Well in my opinion I feel the kids should be stuffed into a microwave and nuked for doing something so stupid, but that is just me...
Seriously? i mean lets not get crazy. its was just an animal. a cat. Now i own a cat, and a dog, and there are several wild cats that i feed on my property, and i do agree that what they did was seriously screwed up. but seriously? Nuke a kid? i understand the direction of your anger. but unless you are a pure vegan then how can you be so mad about this? have you ever seen how they process your Micky-D's Hamburger?
I dont eat meat and have never eaten anything at mc donalds... But my philosophy is to do unto others as you would have done unto yourself. If you don't want to be stuffed in a microwave and cooked then why would you do it to someone else, someone who never did anything to you by the way...

i was allowed to watch violent movies, and play violent games as far back as i can remember, and i never did anything violent against anyone unnecessarily. but i did have a good mom, who taught me right and wrong, and the consequences of doing wrong.
I have done 3 research studies in college so far on people vs violence in video games.
...
My side notes of opinion- I think parents(guardians) are the majority(95%) factor in every single incident that has happened, when it involves their kids. That remaining 5% is because I think theres just BAD kids out there with or without the proper parenting. People selling video games are not properly going by ESRB guidelines on selling the games to the proper age group. Game makers are using their freedoms to create a potential risk knowingly they are partly responsible for these happenings.
Every single vulnerability that I found was true. Even down to the method I used to confirm my vulnerabilities - are part of current datamining techniques ... also considered privacy invasion. ]
nah really why? What about violent shows/television etc. ?
