A look at my htpc.

It's not fully complete, I still need a new console, and speaker stands.

As it is though, it's pretty much done.

Main shot, stupid iphone, had to shine a light to show it.

Xbox 360 HD-Dvd drive, snes, audio receiver, and... a tape deck

My keyboard and mouse.

Directv hr21 hddvr (Yeah, it kinda sucks)

Some POS dvd player.

OMG N64????

D-link wireless N router.

Opti-UPS 1500c Uninteruptable Power Supply.

I seriously wanna know, is this a good thpc? Or too much old crap? Crazy mixture of old and new???

Well if you want opinions on your HTPC then your gonna have to tell us what's in the actual PC... if you want opinions on your setup as a whole, looks like you've got a lot of stuff covered even if things are old... old doesn't always mean bad.

Okay, pc is this:

e6400
4 gigs ddr2 800 ram (overclocked to ddr1000 speeds)
1 man hdd 300 gig, 1 backup hdd 250 gig, 1 external hdd at 100 gig
8800 gts 640

for an HTPC that's pretty overkill so, you shouldn't worry about your HTPC... I just built me a new HTPC and it doesn't have near the power of that one...

pc uses less then 400 watts (no overclocking)
n64 and snes use less then 10
speakers use less then 100
tape deck uses 10
lcd tv uses 150

No real issue here, less wattage then a hair dryer. I specifically picked low wattage products.

FF2, Secret of Evermore, used to have chrono trigger, Super Metroid, illusion of gaia, for just a few of my better snes games.
