MX 610 mouse skipping

I have a MX 610 left handed only mouse and it seems to work fine most of the time, but when i get into TF2 after a few minutes it starts to jump around and freeze quite often. It happens in other games as well, not just TF2.I was wondering if anybody had any idea's on how to fix it? i know its the mouse because it still works just fine with my old mouse. if you need any more info let me know (kinda vague, but iunno what else you might need) thanks for the help!

Make sure you've got a current release of setpoint installed.

yeah, i do. thanks for the tip tho. i was readin some other threads on google and here and whatnot and kinda came to the conclusion that wireless mouses *mine anyway* just aren't really good for gaming yet =x. but i have hope that someone might know how to fix it

Im sorry this doesn't really have any input to your problem, but wireless mice suck for gaming...why would you ever need it to be wireless. You game AT your desktop.

I gamed with a MX710 for a while... people seem to hate on the wireless a lot, but I never had any real problems. If it is a laser mouse, make sure the eye on the bottom of the mouse is free of ALL debris... including HAIR. My sidewinder will lock up on me sometimes and it is usually a piece of hair or dust or something caught up on the sensor. If it is clean, I would suspect the battery is getting weak.

Go back to a wired desktop and save yourself the hassles of wireless and their batteries, they always seem to go dead in the middle of battle... LoL

I have a wireless mouse for gaming and don't have any problems at all...

You may want to make sure that your receiver is close enough to your mouse. Sometimes interference from other devices or metal (say if the receiver is on the other side of your computer case) can cause your mouse to "jump" or "freeze."

I've also found that the best wireless mice for gaming tend to be the ones with bluetooth connections - they don't have quite the problems with interference that RF mice seem to have.

Anyway - try moving the receiver closer to your mouse...or at least make sure there's a pretty clear line-of-sight between the two.

since it was said already to clean the optical eye on the bottom I won't whip that hoarse anymore. I found that my G7 mouse was effected the the micro wave that was around 15 - 20 feet away in the next room. So try to see if its related to an other device being used in the house.
