Well if its the forums your trying to bring together then this will work, but i never made friends on the forums before, it was always ingame and in events.

I hate to even post here, because any comments will not change the decision; however, I would like to add one thing.
Why do we even have houses anymore, if only the leadership can talk to us? Frankly, I don't see the purpose of houses at all anymore. Added with prior changes, I don't even think that the current image of eGO should have houses. I certainly disagree with this decision, but I would like to add the viewpoint of a pubber.
Roleplaying here, I'm now a pubber wanting to oin eGO. "Ok, so I join eGO, thats cool, they have sponsers, nice. Should I join a house? What are the benefits of joining a house? The house leaders get the make announcements? That's not much incentive"

I don't mind the change, the council should know what they're doing, so if they think it's for the best, then ok
BUT! I have a question:
If the private house forums are going to be closed, then how are the Roll Calls going to work?
How will the House leaders know who's active and who isn't? just curious

Although I agree the Council is just trying to better the community, they have one flaw in their ideology. They say that eGO comes before houses, but what I don't think they realize is that we all are eGO. Every one of us makes up the clan, and if this many people don't like the idea of closing the houses, I think that would count as eGO not wanting this change. After all, a clan is just a group of people and can even be thought of as a small government.

Well I dont think this is a good idea... One of the 3 reasons I joined eGO was because I thought the houses were kool. The other two are "BARON ROJO" and Fun People....

Personally i don't like the idea. If you recap on what Ego Has done in the past. They have done some crazy things. Like closing Ventrilo for good. See how long that lasted. They pretty much learn as time goes on. People want simple things to keep them communicating. If a lot of people complain they will eventually bring it back. It's in their power to do so.
I'm just having some trouble figuring out how they are going to list individual house questions.
I.E. I had a question about a tag i was going to use. And only 3xxmembers have a good insight to my question.
It's a good way to loose track of your close friends in your house i will have to agree.
The bitter truth is they will have to have a way so that the non-Ego's will have to have a way to communicate. And to whom they want to communicate with. Forums are awesome for people who can't be online all at once.
I'll hate to be reading through 30 threads just to find a question for my house that i can answer on a timely basis.
Also what is this 2nd all about? Seems a bit confusing on what answer you two Ego's are trying to give.
Also please try to keep the threads active for as long as you can.
Or try to blend them in with the current setup you have planned.
You guys do have something in mind right? I hope you do. Or else chaos.

We have houses because it makes it easier to learn people also it helps so you have events like in-house scrims. Also its another fun thing for people that join them.

I think we should give it a try for 2 weeks or somthing and if it the ppl of eGO dont like it we should have it like it is right now beacuse i mean the ppl of eGO is the Clan right?

Having individual houses for dod was a fun idea in my opinion.. you can hang out with people that love the same map as you and I think the forums for the houses brought people together. What is going to happen now to new people wanting to join houses? where can they really post that...
maybe you guys are headed in the direction of removing the houses all together.. that would be kinda sad..
all in all I think that if the plan to do this was wise.. it will show itself to be a good idea .. if not then its up to you guys

My only addition to this is there are leaders above us that know what they are doing and choose how our clan evolves. We are a key part of that but they make the huge decisions. We need to trust that they have our bests interests in mind. It may feel like it sucks now, but give it time. They got us this far.
Also, to quote Lafinass in a response to the last time I heard clan voting brought up:

Guys what we are trying to do is promote not only the house but eGO Everyone needs to remember you are eGO first, second and last.

yeah...i can understand sapper cause i feel the same. i'm not long a member of =(eGO)= but the main reason to join had been the houses. once i'm in i will not leave because of this changes happening, but it makes me kinda sad. i'm proud to be =(eGO)= but i'm also proud of our [DAM] house! feels like now everything will be torn apart.

We wouldn't change things for no reason. There is a perfect reason that you may not see. If you were at our level and watched DoD:S as long as we've had you would understand. Slayr357 and Tommy are trying to bring everyone closer, not just houses being close but the whole community closer. Again, at your level, you wouldn't understand. Just sit back relax and wait to see what happeneds. If it doesn't work out like we've planned, i'm sure they'll figure out something better.
You may think it isn't necessary, but the council does. This is why we're doing it.

We are large because we bring the best out in the community. The council has changed things in the past and still we are large. I believe the council knows what we're doing. We wouldn't do it for no reason. Thus the reason why we change maps around because we want whats best for our community. I'm surprised you haven't learned that yet, after what we've talked about before.

If it's for 'admin' purposes, That may be why there forums are 'dead'
Why punish us (the e's and the houses) for the rules that are made in those forums, which don't allow 'off-topic' discussion.
Since I'm an e, having house forums, was kind of like a safe haven for me. A family, inside a family. I could get to know them, Talk to them. Talk to them about stuff I may not want to put in a general section for 'everyone' to see.
