My ping is high:(

Hey guys I just recently got a new cpu, and high speed internet, however for some reason my ping is running a little hgih the gameplay is choppy. Could this be because I don't really have a video card in my cpu and only a chipset???

If you're running on a chipset video card, then that card is using power from your CPU. Although I don't think this would affect your ping, it's possible that this would account for the slight jump.

its not actually my ping its just laggy, and choppy

check closing any other programs, specially those that use your connection, like xfire, messenger, ventrilo, etc... this sometimes works for me and my *crappy* internet conn.

clean your comp files and all that...it helps....i did disk cleanup the other day and cleaned up like 5+ million unused files....lol

Its probably not high ping, but a slow framerate.

GPUs, CPUs, and RAM all are related to framerate, which is how fast the game processes and runs on the computer.

Internet connection is ping, and as you haven't stated any problems with your internet connection, its probably just general lower quality parts in your computer.
