I used to play... I had a 70 dwarf hunter on Archimonde... I did the raiding thing for a while with my guild before TBC came out, but ended up taking a break for a bit before it did come out, and then I played up through level 70 but stopped before our guild could really get into the raid dungeons. I also leveled up a mage to 63, but then again, stopped.
To be honest, I go around saying I hate the game, because yes, it is very addictive, and yes, there comes a point when you are just doing the same thing over and over again. As someone said, it does start to feel like a job.
In reality though, I dont hate it, you constantly want that next piece of gear, or if leveling, that next level, and the chase of it is very addictive, and you are willing to do what it takes to get it.
However, this game was great for me when I was depressed and not really taking on any real world responsibilities. As soon as I started to take responsibility for my life, WoW became a chore to play. A game in which you cant accomplish anything in less than 3-4 hours is just not fun and doesnt work well if you are trying to be a successful human in our society.
So, this game is no longer for me. But I did have fun with it, and I do miss that feeling of playing, and running with guilds, and even the drama (ok, not really). But I can honestly say, I have NO desire to return.
