Hey everybody, I was hoping you could help me out. For a few days now after I play on cp_blackmesa for awhile my textures kinda flip out. The longer I play, the brighter they get. Here are a few pics after about an hour:

Any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Quit drinking the radioactive water!

On an unrelated note, does this persist when you restart TF2? Sometimes my graphics glitch out on any map. But those errors tend to turn anything reflective or windowed into purple squares.

Hadn't alt tabbed, and this is the 3rd time its happened, so I have restarted tf2.

I'd say it'd has something to do with your video card. That's my best guess.

My video card started showing weird textures that were all disco square like. Well, to make a long story short it turns out that the cooling fan wasn't doing its job and my video card was simply getting too hot. I installed a PCI slot fan under the video card and haven't really had a problem since...

I had this same problem for a while, on both laptop and desktop. I just disabled, color correciton under settings and that seemed to fix the problem.

Here is a quick fix for you guys who alt tab and get graphic problems every so often. Go into your console and type record "something" and hit enter to start recording a demo. Then type stop, hit enter, this stops the demo. When you start recording a demo, TF2 is set to correct graphical errors, if possible, to get a proper demo. So once you do that it should straighten things out.

I have tried this. It usually works.

This looks like a graphic card overheating issue to me. I have been wrong on many occasion though.

A Alt+Tab glitch looks a bit different.

Make sure your Graphics card is up to date on the latest drivers, if not, what is the name of your Graphics Card?

I went and dusted of my card and fan, and it hasn't happened again. Thanks for the help everybody! Strange that it only happened on that map though :/

come to think of it... black mesa has been known to give me BSOD from time to time... some other maps do when I play for a long long time... but mesa dose it the most hm...
