O.K. DOD People!

I know there are different houses to join. I'm having a problem finding out which house is best suited to my style of gaming and that represents my character and personality as a clan member and my individual status as a human being.

So, can someone list all the houses and what each house offers and represents?

If all the houses are the same, then why do we need so many different houses?

I just need a better understanding on the purposes of each house so I can make a good judgement call and join the one best suited to my indivicual status.

Well, to be honest, many of the houses are one and the same. The best way to find out which house suits you best is by which map you like and which members you feel more comfortable with.

I'd suggest coming into all of the DoD servers and just playing alongside house members and get a acquainted with them. Whichever one you feel the most comfortable with is probably the one you should join

And to help you a little more, here's a guide to the houses who adopt which server:

Avalanche - Imperial Guard (My House )
Donner - The Raiders
Flash - Hell Hounds & Reservoir Dogs
Kalt - Sewer Ratz
Palermo - Foreign Legion
Strand - Dam Busters

Houses are really all essentially the same. The only difference is different leadership. I suggest you spend some time in Vent, and get to know the various members and leaders, as well as playing in the maps and talking to various players of various maps.

EXACTLY, just pick which map you like the best and try out that server for a bit than make a choice, that's what i did.

I think I got him straightened out, he's in the CS:S group of eGO, so really houses don't mean anything unless he transfers to dod. He just got a little confused.

Do what I did when choosing a house play on a map you enjoy and if you enjoy the people in that house join. Or like Me CaptGoomba invited me to join the Hell Hounds so I joined and have had no regrets ever since.

yeah i would just say pick a house where people are most friendly and helpful to you. Im in FL and my home map is palermo, but I play on avalanche 90% of the time. Most of my friends are in FL so I joined FL.
