This is the motherboard of my choice if I were to build a system. It gives you 2 PCI-e slots for SLI. You will actually be baffled in a bit for my video card choice though. I don't think triple SLI will be taking major advantage for a long time plus the cost.
CPU

Intel E8200 is the cheapest 45nm (the newest tech from Intel atm) and if you want a little more speed out of it you can easily over clock it with the stock cooler safely. Until I see MOST games use Quad Core, or even fully utilize 2 cores, I will stick with just 2.

Antec 650 Watts. Although it is certified for dual graphics card, in all honesty, 650 isn't exactly safe. You might have to upgrade if you wish to go SLI in the future but for a current single video card. It will have extra juice running.

I went with 800 instead of 1066 because there is not way too much difference in there. 2 gig is sufficient but as a gamer 4 gig is the real sweet spot. Plus, they are quiet cheap still.
Hard Drive

Samsung. They are pretty reliable drives. 500 gig should be minimum these days for anyone with a desktop. I personally have over 40 terabytes of storage between work and all the computers at home. The Raptor from WD is nice but they do get kind of expensive.
Video Card

Since you are on a budget, I'm going with 4850. And to clear up any confusion, ATI card will work on that board long as it's not crossfired. You can actually put 2 of those in there to give you 4 monitor outputs. You just simply cannot crossfire.
Maybe in the future, you will want to do 2 nVidia cards at that point, you just need to get 2 new nVidia cards for SLI.
Operating System
You can get Linux for free or buy/copy MS or use your old OS if you have the proper disks.
Without OS it came out to 874.93 before tax and shipping/handling.

I guess the main selling point is airflow.... Other than that there really is no difference between an expensive case and a cheap case maybe other than how well they're built.
Antec has a name for having good airflow. As far as I'm concerned the only Antecs worth spending more than 60 bucks on are the 900 or 1200. That or a Lian Li case. (But lianlis run upwards of 300+)
You SHOULD NOT use power supplies that come with cases. The power supply is the main component of your computer, if something is wrong with it, there's a chance you could damage all your other hardware. You're better off just buying another one.
Edit: Just a note that build listed above is a waste of money.

Antec are the only decent PSUs that come with cases.
I'd go with a Corsair PSU. The 650TX is fine and it is very stable, delivers all of its promised power, and is relatively cheap.
With monitors and peripherals, $800 will be a very budgeted build. What are you planning on using the PC for anyway? Light gaming? 3D rendering and Crysis maxed? Haha.

I will provide some explanations for the choices I made in picking the parts.
The motherboard is very solid and provides an easy overclock on your processor provided you have good airflow and a decent heatsink. I went budget on the heatsink this time around, so you can invest an extra $50 or so and get a nice TRUE from ncix. Even with the Freezer 7 though, you can take your q6600 to at least 3.8 stable. Not guaranteed, but very probable. The NZXT Tempest is a really nice case. It provides great airflow, looks great in my room =] and is very simple to put together. The RAM is just gaming ram, works perfect, after upping the voltage to it a bit in the BIOS, it runs like a dream. As for the graphics card, the 4850 is more than capable at running almost any game you throw at it on very high at a decent resolution. It blows away all cards in its price range. You can check the benchmarks if you do not believe me. The motherboard also allows you to buy a second one if you do not think one is enough, and crossfire them. The PSU is a nice solid corsair unit. Nothing much to say about that. Quiet, reliable, and fits in the case well. The hard drive is great. 750GBs and it still runs faster than a lot of smaller drivers. For the budget build that cannot realistically afford a velociraptor as an OS drive, the F1 is the next best thing.
The thing that I probably have to back most is the q6600 over the e8400 or e8500. Sure, right now, a dual core works great for gaming, but that is not really all that you are going to be doing. The clock speed on the dual cores is higher, but you won't really notice much of a difference. Most games are GPU bottlenecked anyway. The ones that aren't, have quad core support. Gaming is not the only thing you will do with this PC anyway. Quad is just better for everything else. Winrar, rendering, everything else receives huge jumps in timing. My last point is the price. They are not far away at all anymore!! Why pay the same price for TWO LESS cores?

ok my buget is like $1000 and i live in michigan, USA and i am plannin on gettin a 4870x2 graphics card so u guys dont have to worry about that and i just want it as nice as possible for that price but i need almost everything except keyboard and mouse and speakers and a moniter i will find that stuff the rest i do need help on.
