Ive seen videos and heard ppl talking of it but i just cant get my tf2 to display blood in general. i kill some1 or some1 gets killed and all i see is green glob. could some1 please help me out.. Ty

it's either party mode is enabled for you (its balloons) or you have the German version.

And, if you are playing the german TF2 version:
From the TF2 wiki page http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Blood_patch

The blood patch adds blood to the German version of TF2. This may be done for the sake of appearances or more notably because the German version has green blood instead of red with no blood splattering on walls. Also gibs are replaced by funny objects such as unicycles.

I actually turn OFF the blood and gibs in TF2 and DoD using

violence_agibs 0
violence_ablood 0
violence_hgibs 0
violence_hblood 0

My kids wander in and out of my man cave, and my 5yr old likes to sit and watch me play sometimes. I make sure and neglect my children in the most responsible manner possible =)

hmmm check your setting in game. Make sure you dont have low violence enabled. I have my Violence settings set to slaughter kittens, and everything look awsome.

I think I, as a german with the same problem, knows what to do.
Although I didn't have "green blobs" ...
All you have to do is set your steam to english. That's all you have to do.
That's the way I did it. Try it and tell me if it worked.

LOL, I need to do this.
I stopped playing if my kids were in the room when my 2 year old son started yelling "Daddy, shoot everyone!" at random times (fortunately not in a really bad place, like a government building or an airport).
Now I just play Peggle when the kids are in the room. They love that game!
