On strike for arena maps!

I play arena maps only of late and I was only playing on eGO servers. Now that you have remove them i feel striped of my eGO fun and will be looking for other arena servers. I admin those server well and i have the most fun in arena, i refuse to go back to standard maps because i find them less challenging and i find the teamwork better on arena. Therefore i will not play eGO servers till you bring the best servers we had, an Arena server. Im sorry but I feel that is the only way for me to have fun. I love you guys but arena is the only reason I play now. I think and im assuming alot of others are too that we should atleast have 1 arena server. But I guess we cant have everything we want. I do love you guys and youve been the best clan ever ive joined but im sorry I do not agree with this decission to remove them.

Im sorry you feel that way. But thats the way the cookie crumbles. A Specific Map/Gameplay mode gets old after a while. We need to keep servers that attract players. The reason arena was so popular was that it came with the heavy update. 2 Months later, people just get bored of it.

I understand. but like i said, I dont play normal maps anymore, unless im requested to admin another server. Arena is now my one and true place I belong in TF2, i do my best to get people to join it and keep it alive and alot of the times it pretty full. This has been a real bummer.

"Striking" Is not going to bring it back. Right now, just calm down, there are other arena servers, but that does not mean that you should cut out eGO altogether.

*shrug* it kinda does when I dont play normal maps, im more then wiling to assist you guys in admining if you ask me too, but I will not be on our servers since there are none I like to play, you guys have been good to me, and I apreciate it all, but till then ill be on others arena servers.

hmm i don't know about striking, but i certainly know how you feel. I did beg in the meeting that we keep arena, as i too pretty much play it soley, but i think they made the decision fairly. Essentaily having a server which isn't populated half the time is like burning a $100 dollar bill, i think is the analogy made by drunken in the vent meeting, so basicly i think we arena lovers have to just accept that the clan needs to use its money more wisely and satisfy the majority.

The main reason i enjoy arena is because i think at least it encourages a more skillfull way of playing. That said, sunsetown is being placed on the custom maps sever, this map is usually pretty skillfull comapred to the bodyfest that is 2fort ect, you should check it out.

The Council is not always going to make decisions you like. That's just a fact of being in eGO. They do what they think is best with our servers, but that won't necessarily mesh with someone's personal preferences. To be honest, I wish we had tried more with the Arena due to its uniqueness, but at the same time, we had the Arena for quite a while and it never seemed to draw in the largest crowd. It was given a pretty fair chance.

If you want to play on Arena servers, there are plenty out there. One great thing about eGO is that playing on our servers isn't compulsory. If you want to play on other Arena servers, great. I hope you enjoy them. I don't think you have to turn your back on eGO to do it, however. You may come to a point in time where you're tired of the Arena and wishing for some other servers to play on.

Squirrel, we've played together a lot, and hopefully you can trust my judgment when I say that this is not the best way to go about getting what you want. You really have to understand that the Council is not going to give in to a "strike". If they did it for you, then every time a map had to be changed, they'd have to go through the same thing. I understand you're upset about the change. Take some time off from the servers if you need to, but please rethink what you're doing. eGO is too great a community to lose over a map change.

We had a meeting where this could have been addressed in person. You have, or rather HAD, access to a private forum where you could have addressed this. Or, you could have pm'ed one of the TF2 advisors or DL's.

I guess you could still do of three of the above options.
