Havegooda's New Build *Lots of Pics*

You're killing me here, gooda - I need more pictures of the machine that will put even my beast to shame :p

What you got under that hood? :p

Can't give you guys any pics before it's back :( No camera with a big enough lens to zoom all the way to VA and snap a pic of it being coated.

Should be back by the middle of next week.

Intel E8500 @ 4.0 GHz
Gigabyte X48-DQ6
4 GB DDR2 1066
2 Visiontek Radeon HD 4870s in Crossfire
250 GB Western Digital HDD
Samsung DVD Writer
PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750
Antec Twelve Hundred

The thing rocks, but your build will easily rip it apart.

Thought I'd entertain you guys with a few pics. NOT MINE. Thought they were hilarious though.

Yeah...that reminds me that I should probably clean out the filters in my case...

Ya, I give mine a quick blast of compressed air about once a week. Little here and a little there...goes a long way.

I can't wait to see the powdercoat results.

Been too long with no pics ;)

Here's some of the tops (by Detroit Thermo) for the D5 Vario pumps I'll be using in my watercooling loops.

Well first impression is that the pump with the Detroit top is much higher suction...I could not get conclusive tests because the pickup would make a vortex and cavitate under three inches...lol. The stock top does not do that...so suction is HIGH on the Detroit.

I need MUCH larger containers to really time the test. (I haz no bukkits )

But just observing one right after the other two things are very clear. The force is greater...and the pump is infintiely quieter.

I made some vids but they suck. I'll do this again properly tomorrow. I am beat.

But the stock pump top attached to the mount with no pad just laying on the wood bench makes this awesome winding up sound like a Harrier jet but the Detroit Doesn't hardly make any sound at all.

So just for that one factor I would gives these a plus over the stock. And you can use the fittings of your choice...so there is another plus.

I am pretty sure than once I get a pair of 5 gallon pails and draw some marks on them to ensure the pump never cavitates the timeson the Detroit will be marginally better than the stock top.

Awesome.

its looking really good gooda (wow that sounds weird to say)

There will be one day where i will just go ALL OUT on a pc build like that, but for now... i have to save, for pretty much everything

I don't think I'll be able to shed $2,500 for a PC...but I think I'm going to invest about $2,000 in my next PC so it'll last at least 2 years. xD

Bah, what's another $500 when you've blown $2,000 already? ;)

eGO is gonna love their affiliate program after I've blown my wad through Newegg's link.
