Hey guys if you dont know me Im RedTommy from the Hell Hounds. I have been thinking over a new event for eGO and it came to me a House v House Premier League. We could setup a multiple teams within a house such as having H/H Team A and so on and so forth so that we can have the maximum amount of participation possible. The teams of 16 can be chosen by the House leaders based on skill so that each team is even, setting a certain amount of eGOs eGs and es so that there isnt a Team A that is stacked with the House's best players, secondly this will encourage more House bonding (Hell Hounds have too much of this I think and is starting to make us psycho =) ). The tournament can be on a point system, 3 for a win 1 for a tie and the matches can be the best out of 3, 5 or 7. Secondly we can have home games and away games which will be interesting to experience with your House. Such as the Hell Hounds play the Sewer Rats with SR being home playing in Kalt. I have talked about this with a few people but I have not been able to post until now. I will send a PM to my Leaders and if you read this I hope that you will copy my message and send this to your House leaders as well. Feedback is wonderful.

Aim well and be Good,
RedTommy

hey bud i am a ex-eGO and let me say ur idea in not new we had them before house vs. house and it was official dam busters which house i was in got sec. place and after that the council stopped all house vs. house scrims. i guess (it is only a guess) that they thought it created a divide between houses but in really it got us closer and got to know other members of the house. then they started a axis vs. allied teams with mixed houses and it flopped. and then we had unoffical house scrims and because a few whined it was then deleted also. i don t think buddy they will start up again. if they do (which i hope for u guys) it will be great. but don t hold your breath.

mostly likely no one will read this or care what i say

House vs House, Home and Away Sounds like fun.

If you had some that were on neither teams home map it would encourage house members to play on the away - away map to learn the maps geography and that would help get the house members out of the house and meet more people. Maybe one home-away, one away-home, and one away-away. This would also negate the home map advantage.

If you really want to mess with our heads don't tell us what the away - away map is until we show up. Then we'd have to learn all the maps. :p

I think you'd better discuss this through the proper chain of command, so through your HL, DL, etc.

Yeah Bas I have sent my proposal to all my House leaders as well as the council

I am Roderick Rostas and i approve this message ^_^

I'm not part of any house yet but If this happens I think the houses should be able to make their teams how they see fit. If you make squad B then at least you made squad B. Squad A should be the best the house has to offer.

Just my $.02

Hey, Tommy. I got your PM, and I think I'll answer in here, since it is the same thing, and everyone else needs to know:

Sapper is right. The House Vs. House scrims are nothing new. This used to be in place for houses to compete against each other just to have fun and get bragging rights. However, it looks like things got out of hand half-way through. Teams that started with good records would show up with a full roster, and demolish teams with bad records, and come with half a roster. The house I was in at the time didn't participate, since we were new and couldn't possibly get full rosters, but I played with one of the lower teams, and I could tell that it wasn't going well. It also got to where instead of just bragging, it would escalate to talking crap and boasting on how much better their house is.

For the time being, I'll be hosting Dog Tag scrims, which are just players fighting based on rank and not house. However, I am still in the planning of another scrim idea, and hopefully this may bring more interest in event participation. :)

I understand the problems with bragging and division among the Houses. This does not mean it should not be looked into. It is very possible to research how the inter house games were regulated before and how we can avoid such problems. It is not an impossible task it will just take time to organize and especially a lot more time to regulate the teams. Secondly I think you might be missing my concept of making a team. A team would consist of balanced players which will avoid "stacked" teams. Plus this will help coach other players in their skills. I think it is possible. We can start with each House playing once as a trail. Regulation and hard work can make this possible. Just because we failed before in the past does not mean we should give it up as a lost cause. Besides it doesnt have to be a year long tournament it can be like a regular season started and stopped on the basis of how the players react after the games. If the players become negative and cause problems the tournament can be canceled and will be brought back next year only if the people who hold the tournament deem it ok to be brought back. Please give it a thought, do not shy from a difficult task, in fact take the task and run with it

Thank you all,
Red Tommy

I understand your view of the teams RedTommy. I was surprised to find inter-house scrims weren't commonplace here. Competition is at the core of clans? I can understand that eGO doesn't scrimmage other organizations (lets face it, who could stand against our best anyway?;) But I'm really surprised there's no inter-house competition.

Braggings rights aside, anyone taking the competition too far, or with the wrong attitude isn't eGO material, no? We shouldn't hide from the fun just because it may reveal some bad apples.

I agree it would be nice to have house vs. house scrims, but as you said, we would need a whole set of rules and regulations to avoid possible fights.
Maybe each house doing tryouts and selecting the players, based on skill AND (more important) maturity, agreeing to behave before making the team. things like that.

btw, i'm willing to help in any way i can... ideas, organize, rules... just say the word :D

We can possibly have "alliances" between houses and have play wars against other alliances. Then we can jumble them up to introduce people to new houses. For example: HH & RD vs TR & FL lets say. If any house has less members showing up the other house can put more of its players in if they want. If 2v2 might start a blame game we can have 3 houses even on one side!

I understand where you are getting at, Tommy, but you gotta look at the entire picture. I apologize, because I didn't present the entire thing.

Yes, you can try to get a balanced team, but then you'd only be restricting players from playing, and this is for the entire clan, not just for a certain group. I will also let you know I would enjoy house scrims myself, but given what happened is not necessarily risking to break up the clan again.

Insurge, you do present a good idea to complement with it, though. Of course, that would require three houses to sit out each week.

I understand where you are coming from Booster. I think it would be worth finding a solution to the problem. To please everyone in a clan is impossible and an insane idea. Its worth another try, add a little spice to the game. We have Houses so lets compete. You can set up a forum post in your House forum "sign ups for the Tournament" Have a cut off date for people to sign up, tally the total number of players of each House...create the as many 16 player teams in a House you can....the left overs of each House can combine a team and if the number is less than 16 for that team you can take players from other teams to support them....even players from another House (thanks Insurge for the idea). I haven't even begun a formal proposal yet please give me at least 2 weeks Booster so I can submit to you a House v House Tournament proposal. Then we can go from there

The 3 houses on one side means 6 houses will be participating. We can possibly have 3 houses on each side and the remaining house evenly dividing into the 2 sides. Throwing out ideas here. I want this to happen as well ;)

Ok then. Well, try to make sure Council gets a look at it too, because they are also in charge of telling myself what I can and cannot put out for you guys. :p

I'd also have to put some sort of restriction on houses, because I think the last problem with the scrims was that those who did play well started to get a large amount of recruits, while those who didn't weren't getting as many, and still play a great contribution to the houses today. However, I will hold further judgment until the proposal.

Yes it would be a great thing but first we would need.

-Rules
-Make sure ppl understand them
-Make sure EVERY house agrees
-Have people put these together
-Face a possible loss to houses.

Also remember we would need to lock servers and that means after th server will die so we will also need a few houses volentering to stay behind to it fills up.

Thank you Booster for letting the Council know about my proposal. I understand you have higher ups that tell you what to do and I did not want to make you think I was attacking you personally for your first post. I would love to work with you and anyone who would be interested in setting up some by laws and rules for the league. I know your not giving the go ahead until you talk to the Council but if you would like me to prepare something before you present to the council I would be more than willing to. Just let me know and please do not stop with the great ideas on helping see this League come back.

Aim well and Be Good,

RedTommy

I'd like to keep this idea on hold, as I've had a scrim program planned for a week, and I've just been waiting on Council to give their final word, but this will not go unnoticed.
