Something interesting I just found, gonna try it out now
I tried it in multiplayer... lets just say it didn't turn out well. Also Buildings and hang gliders don't mix

I just had my first "Woah..." moment in a LONG time with this game...
I was doing the first arms dealer mission and I blew up the convey right outside the guard post to the northwest, and apparently attracted some unwanted attention. I hopped in my buggy (god... I love that thing... It's so fast!) and headed to the safe house just southeast of that guard post. I got up the hill to discover that a jeep was following me a ways back. So I hop out and fire a grenade out of my grenade launcher (I don't know the name of it... It goes in the primary slot and basically wins at life... With a scope.) and blow up the jeep. Then I take care of some guys who were following on foot by switching the launcher for the sniper rifle in the safehouse... Only to notice that the jeep had caused a fire... Which then spread through the grasslands and all around the trees.
It was sooooo beautiful. I wish I had taken a screenshot...

I was walking somewhere, dont remember where exactly, but the sun was just starting to come up... i just had to stop and watch it for a few minutes, this game is truly stunning. Not to mention a lot of fun to play.
The hangglider... while kind of fun seemed mostly useless, except as a quick way to get from a high place to a low place quickly. Still cool though!

Just got Farcry 2. What an amazing looking game. Not sure about how it plays fully yet, just got it installed it, and played it for 30-40 minutes. My friend has been playing it for a few days and he says it is great. The sandbox mode really feels good, and makes an excellent gameplay. There are side quests you can do for guns, vehicles, ammo, ext. You will want to do those when you start the game. The only bad part about the game is DRM, you can only install it on three different occasions. I'll update it more later, but I recommend getting it for the PC and not the consoles.
The sunrise/sunset's of this game are just incredible, they really re-created Africa even to the smallest details.
...Which is what Fallout 3 does as well.

canirunit.com says I have in between minimum and recommended settings for the game... I really want to buy it, but I'm not sure I can run it.

I have been playing this game a lot lately. I've put about 15 hours into the campaign and I'm only 46% of the way through. Some of the missions are repetitive but at least they are fun. The visuals are very impressive as well. Even better, the game runs great, unlike Crysis.

I'm currently running the game with a lot of the "Can You Run It" features right at minimum. And unlike Crysis, which had about the same rating for me, this game runs PERFECTLY.
True I'm only playing it on low... But... C'mon! On low it's easily amazing to behold! I really don't care about graphics all that much... So... Hey, I'm willing to sacrifice some pixel shaders or whatever to play with no lag whatsoever.
(Though in the near future I'll probably try it on a higher setting just to see if I can...)

Thought I would dump this in here... If any of you were aware, there is a fix released for widescreen that makes it hor+ instead of vert- (if any of you know what I am talking about)

I was thinking of installing that, but heard I might get kicked from MP servers because of the fix.
Do you know anything about that Mustachio ?

the author is in contact with evenbalance as of this writing it is not confirmed whether or not PB views this as a "cheat"

Its an exe file that you run beside the game, you set the FOV in the program, then once n game you hit a toggle key (* on numpad) to switch the FOV. Its simple though... if you plan to play multiplayer, just dont run the FOV fix exe file.
