Is there any way to change the auto kick for TKs on the #2 server? I bring this up because I was kicked for 4 or 5 TKs, I cant remember, over the course of 45 minutes. All were accidental and it still kicked me. Is there any way to change this to where its less...strict?

this probably won't be changed, its there to keep greifers from clearing out the server by tking people.

Just my opinion - I think we need to keep it like it is. I've been a victim of it also, so I know it sucks. But with the number of malcontents we get, it makes the admin job a lot easier. Plus, imagine how much misery a person could create if there was no admin on the server.

Just reconnect and try to be more careful.

i havnt gotten kicked on our servers but i have been on others and have gone and killed about 4 or 5 people on our team .

HOW do you tell them apart????????????????

Actually most of those TKs happened because I threw a grenade, one dude beside me ran forward, it bounced off his head, then came back killed me and 2 others lol. But for telling people apart, look for a helmet. Helmet = US

I just got done playing for approximately 1-1.5 hours, and only bagged myself 1 team kill, while still managing to stay in the top 3 for the US Marines. It's doable, the easiest way to recognize an insurgent from a marine, would be the uniform and the turban. But that's just my observation. I believe the TK auto-kick is a great feature, having been TK'd twice by one player, and one by another in the course of that gameplay. And I didn't even get the worst of it. Two players were kicked that period for TK'ing, getting kicked, and then hopping back on to TK some more. Just be more careful, and life will be grand. And if you think I was playing an easy class to avoid TK's, I was playing the Rifleman...and we all know his accuracy and sight issues :p.

I dont think it needs to be changed at all , you need to learn to confirm your targets before pulling the trigger. Its called self control =) Many a time have I been shot by people who dont use logic before pulling the trigger in a FF server. I mean if a guy is standing completely out of cover behind an object facing the enemy why would you shoot him in the back? There are no spys in this game people!

I sorta agree... And sorta disagree with the OP...

I agree because even if confirming targets is key in not TKing, on night maps and when you just see a flash of movement, it's incredibly difficult to tell the two teams apart. At least for me. Both teams are tan. It's like if in TF2 there was a Blu Team and a Slightly Different Blu team. And TKing was on.

Buuuuut... Griefing CAN be a problem... So anti-griefing measures ARE cool...

Honestly I like the realism INS has... But I personally don't like it when friendly fire is on.

Well it forces you to be more cautious. Especially when you use explosives.

I personally think it's ok with the way it is right now.
Edit:
I also agree with TeChN9nE. You can't just be like, ohh sorry I fragged you, just go respawn. This game respawns too but it's actually called reinforcements. You spawn as a new person but with the same kits.
If you think someone is TKing ON PURPOSE, contact an admin. and we'll deal with that person.

im for the 4-5 TK limit. (what is the exact number btw?)

If the server wasnt full you can get right back in, no harm done. If it was and you lost your spot oh well... least the server is full ;)

Look before you shoot!

Eh I can agree with everything yall are saying, but you can be as careful as you want. But when you are firing at an enemy, and your teammate runs into your stream of fire, there is almost nothing you can do. Or my personal favorite. You kill 3 iraqis running through the door, not even less than 1 second later, someone else comes through that door. You shoot then you see the camo.

I guess my real question is, Is there any way to set a time to the TK, like so many in under a certain amount of time? I like the auto kick, dont get me wrong, was just wondering if there was any way to make to more friendly to the honest accidental TK.

Also, theres a map for a reason, as well as a mic. Start asking.

Say, if you're near A, teabag for a second.

If he doesn't, its pretty much fair game for me, although its not always foolproof

thats why you should have a mic " Friendly In A behind the file cabinet " thats all it takes. Also you should learn to announce yourself before entering a secured objective "Friendly entering A hold fire"
