Help people understand your name and why did you pick it?

Mine: My bro is the best at picking names and we needed something we and other people could make jokes about.

Potato+Cannon= PotatoCannon
Its not that hard unless ur 5..
Wait no a 5year old would get that maybe a 2 year old but then why would they have steam?

Keep Dr. Death away from this thread. He hates this story.

When I was little my friends and I played NHL '94 (or maybe '96, or '98, the numbers confuse me) on the SNES. I always chose the Pittsburgh Penguins. In one game I injured an obscene amount of players. I was dubbed the "Homicidal Penguins." It stuck. :)

Mine is simply a nick name. My real name is Brian and people used to call me B man. :)

em

Peter Griffin well thats obvious. best cartoon dad ever.

[TPU]= tech power up
its a computer hardware website im a member of, its so friends can know who i am.

I'm 99% sure there's already a thread about this.

Any way, my computer case is a Cavalier1. I made my steam account a variation of that, and then I eventually just went with Caval1er.

theres a 99% chance that all of these kind of threads are repeats of old threads :D

I picked mine because I had just got back into computer gaming and i felt like a complete stranger since ive had been playing xbox for a long time

the name stuck

This is a duplicate thread. However, there has been plenty of time passed since the last one, so I suppose you can be spared from the flames.

I originally got my name when I was trying to think up a username for runescape. I wanted something like "DeathBringer", but less cliche. so I thought of words that were similar but not as frequently used. I thought about Doom, but that didn't work... Dread is nice. It rolls off the tongue when you say it in-game, and it is less frequently used. DreadBringer didn't seem to flow.... Dreadmaker did.

That name has been with me for about 7 years now. now, I tend to name everything on the net associated with me with the 'dread' prefix.

A long time ago I copied the name "Zeroxscape" for some fansite. I didnt have any other nick so I started using it everywhere, even though I dont play runescape. Then I eventually adapted it to Zer0xscape, then zer0, then žέяo when I started CS:S.

I did not get my name from the stupid show the Wiggles!

I got my name from a episode of Futurama where Bender became the captain since Leela went on a strick against transporting a tanker of dark matter next to a penguin preserve. He refered to his first mate Fry as Wiggles. ( I did not know a short version of First mate so I went with Lt.)

My gamer name is Spitfire'd which had to be changed because the apostrophe didn't mesh well when we went to the new website.

I was big into DoD:S at the time and picked the name for one of my favorite planes from World War II. That is self-explanatory, so what about the 'd?

In the land of Homestar Runner, popular writer Strong Bad invented the Teen Girl Squad. Some of them had unique ways of getting hurt, and the ways always ended in 'd. Examples would include "Arrow'd" or "MSG'd!"

So anyone who dies by my hand is "Spitfire'd!"

J: my first initial
Landry: my last name

It took me several days to think it up, I swear

Mine is also pretty simple. I've been using it for years and always stuck with it, except in Halo, where I played as Chewie. JDC are my initials (yea creative I know, hence the reason I'm a Computer Science major) and Skillet has been my favorite band since the Invincible album came out (plus they might be the best band ever, if not the best band ever-- the Eagles are better).

Also, it's probably easiest to call me skillet, it will get my attention the quickest.

i used to wear alot of red shirts but im skinny so they called me skinny koolaid but i just stayed with koolaid OH YEah

Originally mine was Ballzac (name Ive been using since Ive been playing games) but had to change to Balzac in order to join the community

Not sure where I got it from now that I think of it, I just like the sound I guess, was too long ago :p

Mine is a story of jealousy, and desire to belong :P

One day, my (Former) friend, who shares my real name (Shaun), whose favorite number is 23 (mine is 24) and loves cats made the name cat 23 for gaming, not anything big, we were 6, we didn't even know of REAL gaming. I decided the more I was like him (The cool kid) the cooler I'd be, so I made the name kat-24 (Not realizing that this could be misinterpreted for Katrina, thus making my gender online confused. I'm a guy) I stuck with it, choosing it for steam. I made a new identity (Arc Dyra, Arcdyra) but it just seemed wrong for online gaming, so the plethora of previous names I'd used came flowing in, and this one stuck out for some odd reason.

Carmine, His personality, His awesomeness, His death. Everything Carmine did in gears of war was epic. I had just started computer gaming and had to think of a name besides the one I used for years because I didnt really like it. Carmine stood out at the moment so I chose it, I became a regular in a CS:S server and ended up never changing it. Besides, I think I am alot like Carmine...

R3POMAN

I used to work for a repo company and i was tired of my old name Jukya so it was a good fit... and i used a 3 instead of an e because i am L337 :P
