Red Alert 3

You think so? Alot of people I know love it. I can't wait to try it out when I get my new computer.

i can get it in a week, but overall my friend told me that the grafics are to cartoonis, and the empire of the rising sun is transformers xD,but overall, its very cool

Units die very quickly (even hero level ones), especially structures. (though the command center however is still durable), the allies artillery (by comparison, the empire arty feels weak, though it is a line attack. And the v2 now is aa battery immune, just seems to fall short) is beyond nasty without some manner of airpower to drop it. (the AV defenses of any side fall in 3 seconds to 1 once it fires.)

the AI however, despite being solid, is a friggen pain for being perfectly able to use a massive unit mix of powers immediately and switch as needed. Ships, the equivalent arty types, Carrier for allies, Dreadnought for soviets, and shogun battleship for empire feel incredibly overpowered (empire mission where you have to win in 15 minutes after you see this, four of these guys with aa, and a few direct fire ships (2-3) wins you the map. ) Of all three sides, the soviets are still very durable, and the tanks now are good, though the apoc tank has no aa (however, can crush other tanks if the guns dont get them. One salvo can drop an allied medium tank, or japan tank, but not the oni.)

The kirov has gotten a massive overhaul, and one in base quickly makes for no base at all. (Much quicker now! much to my dismay.) Most japanese units fill a double role, and switching can be a pain in the midst of battle. Each infantry side has the ability to kill garrisoned troops now. (conscript, ninja, and i forgot which allied did that) The peacekeeper for the allied can take insane punishment from infantry, yet really seems to have a hard counter in the soviet sickle, though no real japanese one. Its rough, and still needs a slight bit of polish (Artillery is beyond glass cannons, its a glass nuke.)

The real interesting one, of all this, is the likeness to the general powers, and the threat meter (which lets the underdog potentiall build massive hero level armies if he or she has the abilty to and get far quicker specials.) As you fight, you gain points to buy in one of three tiers, some are active clickables, final squadron for the suicide bombers, but also in there, are the ability to have any dead unit explode to kill others nearby (great with the oni as they have a cc attack.)

there are two passives in each tier, and 3 actives each with improved damage or swarm amount. a passive example is improved build speed for ships/armor for japan or better planes for the allied. each side has the super weapon of choice, the proton collider for allies, soviets have the vacuum imploder and japan the psionic decimator with secondary specials, Iron curtain, chronosphere and nanoswarm hive (area shield, though it seems bugged somewhat in offensive use to trap a group for slaughter or to buy you time to build up a counter-force) I've not been able to play the co-op yet, as i've wanted to be able to beat each mission solo so i know what to do. I hope this helps.

The whole Command and Conquer series is dissapointing.
BOOOOO!

I LOVE this game! The new faction is nice (and actually fits more into the game than I thought at first), the 'old' factions are still great and the skirmish is fun... And I haven't even played online yet, nor did I beat the campaign because I am busy enjoying the skirmish mode. Maybe it's the CnC fanboy speaking here but in my oppinion this game is great.

Does this game have the same online troubles that CnC3 did? I dont want to have to open 3000 ports and shut my network down for everyone to play.

BOOO To you!

CnC is my fav series. BOO!

LOL Agreed. BOOO!

I liked this one. I haven't tried the online yet or the co-op but the Friendly AI was a big plus for me in the campaigns. The videos are no where near as cheesy now though, which dissapointed me the most. Premier Romanov's acting made the 2nd game.

I loved red alert 2 and YR and i loved generals and ZH, bur RAIII is too much
Every unit has a special ability, which is often hard to manage is combat
The AI is either really dumb, or too smart for its difficulty
Each side is too linear
Just a few thoughts

It;s not that I didn't like it, in fact,I'm enjoying it very much. It just lacks the CnC feel and it loses the Red Alert playability

I agree, i'm kind of disappointed in this game. I haven't fully gotten to play it yet.

The coop is kind of cool, when its not an AI player. :/

Well I found out my computer could run the game and got it tonight, I am just loving it. Kirov Airships are da bomb, pun intended!
