Hey all, I'm doing some work on a friend's pc that is having severe crashing and rebooting issues, and I'm thinking its PSU related, does that sound like a good possibility to any of you?
This could be a few things.
PSU could definatly be the culprit. But also check the following
Temp. Make sure the CPU / Chipset and Video card fans and heat sinks are clean and functional.
Do you get a blue screen? or just drops to a black screen and shuts down?
Check the bios and see if it is set to shut down in the event of high system temp
If you happen to have an extra PSU laying around I would test it before you drop cash on one. I dont know how many of you are like me, but when I upgrade I keep my old parts for this type of de-buging.
