Oh my lord, I love those books too My favourites at the moment. I`ve always had to start over again from book 1 like 4 times because I always forget which page i`m on.

It's tough. My favourite novel of all time period is American Gods. Some consider Anansi Boys to be a sequel, but in truth its just set in the same universe. Its not a sequel at all, so its hard to say that American Gods is a series.

I guess these would be the series I love the most, in no particular order:

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkein

The Ring Cycle (Trilogy can also be used, though the novella anthology 'The Birthday' is considered part of the Ring Cycle, so that makes 4.) by Koji Suzuki (Don't compare them to their ****ty movie adaptations, please. The novels are truly amazing.)

The Dark Tower by Stephen King

The Nova Trilogy by William S. Burroughs

The I, Robot series by Isaac Asimov (Once again, compare them to the movie and die.)

Foundation series, also by Isaac Asimov

The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (I consider these a guilty pleasure nowadays, but I love 'em)

The Talisman series by Stephen King and Dean Koontz

The Xanth series by Piers Anthony

The Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams

The Diskworld series by Terry Pratchet

Hmm... there are like at least 100 others, but I can't remember right now.

Sometimes I feel like I read too many books. I've practically got a library.

A novel about the terrors that walk by night.

Well at least right now anyway, i havent finsihed it yet.

I think I forgot to add in the umm... xeelee series by Stephen Baxter (only read a few as they are not direct sequels, etc) but If you like hardcore sci-fi, they are great.

Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkein.

Meowmix, I won't even get started on my frustrations with the movies (my favorite characters being Tom Bombadil and the book version of Faramir). I did enjoy them though, you just have to look at them as their own separate story.

I like me a good Hunter S. Thompson book! I just finished re-reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and I'm working on Hells Angels.

I'm also a fan of dystopian novels like 1984 by George Orwell and Anthem by Ayn Rand

Harry Potter. I also like this more obscure book series by Bernard Cornwell, on a Grail Quest by an English archer in the Hundred Years' War. The books are:
