Why did you choose your in game name?

guess mine came from an old ps1 game called jetmoto, and since Moto was always taken in everything I just went with Motto. Used this name since 1.1 of CS lol

John Kenneth Galbraith was a Canadian economist with some pretty leftist ideas. I'm studying Economics and have some leftist ideas.

Plus Jesus Chrysler Super Car was too long for any tags and so is Mo'hammed Mo' Problems.

Lol Catz + Pirates = Me
Yes Caps Were Needed To Express Why My Name Is Lol Pirate
Lawlcanooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At my company, I am in the Software Architecture team. I am one of the lead software architects, thus my name...

I'm currently an insurance agent with Aflac (you know, the one with the duck mascot). One of the Aflac commercials that came out in the last two years featured the duck mascot as a superhero. Also, I have admin access to a website and our webmaster used "superduck" as my password. I liked the name so I decided to use it as my name when I joined eGO.

I have always like the Peanuts comic strip. When I went to a friends place for a lan party, I was in a pinch to create a name and Woodstock was the best I could come up with. Then a few years later, I threw the !'s on each end to simulate Woodstock's language.

well to be honest there's a lot behind my name now that wasn't so much there when i first started using it. 'Green' just seemed like something obvious to use in a red v blue game and green's my favorite colour anyways. Also I'm a pescitarian (ie. vegetarian that eats fish) which kinda goes into the green thing.

Also I really wanted to break away from the internet name i've been using for years cos ingame 'Green' is much easier to notice and pronounce than 'Lantathae' lol

Also my forum name 'Greentea' is cos i drink green tea every evening while i play TF2.

Well i picked the name focus because i used to play on a sniper only server on a game called medal of honor and on this game everyone camped in spots .. in this game you could hardly see a player if he was leaning round a cornor so we just used to sit there for ages till they made a tiny move or shot (if they get shot they move out a little for like 2 secs) and BANG so i picked the name focus because i allways focused on a wall where they all camped xD stupid but i was like 11-12 at the time and needed a better name xD

I have 4 cats, i like cats, and one looks over my shoulder while im playing sometimes...what else needs to be said? :p

Wow. This makes me think my alter-alias Child of Maud has more meaning than anyone of these :P I spent too much time into creating that one!

My father would change his TFC username to Roadkill everytime he felt kamikaze(ish). Then whenever Roadkill is taken, I add 42 because according to The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy, 42 is the meaning to life, the universe and everything.

I started playing as "Phat Mexican".
1. Because I'm a big guy so I twisted around Fat with Phat.
2. I'm a Mexican :P

Then I decided to change it, because "Phat Mexican" is my street name, I didn't feel comfortable using it in a game. Then I thought to myself... I'm Mexican... I should use a stereotypical name, thus "2 Fast 4 Border Patrol" was born. Then I joined the clan, few months later I was blessed with the G, so now my name has no spaces to and is scrunched together as 2Fast4BorderPatrol :P

Yes I'm legal, I was born in the U.S. lol

Well my name started as KillUmofo a long time ago( original SC-Starcraft days). I was morning my Grandma's death at the time. Since Rest In Peace was the classic phrase on tombstone. I decided hey wouldnt it be cool To Dieinpeace. IT stuck from thier. On a side note i get called Die alot in game.:( Hard to believe DIE IN PEACE is that hard to really pronounce. My name is extra cool becuase it has an Acronym, (DIP). Just like RIP(Rest In Peace)

My nick since for about the last 5-10 years (it's tatooed on my bicep) is "Demon", which I typically use everywhere -- forums, email addresses, avatars, etc -- accompanied by a picture of a devilish red mask and/or flames. For TF2, though, it's a little too "serious" a name and has pyro-ish connotations... I usually go Medic or Engie because I just don't have the twitchy instincts that other players do. I tend to have way too much fun to come across as a straight-faced, serious player. You'll rarely hear me get angry like some players do.

"*expletive* Wang... it's just a game!"

I regularly share the Steam account w/ my wife and cousin when they want to play TF2 with their own friends on other servers. One day when I was changing my name back from "Wrenna" (my wife) to Demon, I had been watching some BTiLC (one of my all-time favorite films). On a whim, I changed to Jack Burton. It really fits my play style -- charge in with a battle cry and instantly get taken out, so I kept it.

Downside -- nearly all of Jack's catchphrases include a degree of foul language. :)
