Gas prices

errr scratch that heres a posting on my local news DAYTON, Ohio -- Miami Valley residents were happy to see lower gas prices this weekend.

Motorists found regular gasoline selling for under $1.40 a gallon in Huber Heights Saturday afternoon.

One station has gas for $1.38 a gallon and people were lined up to fill up their vehicles.

One motorist said she filled her tank for under $25 and that was a nice change.

lol it's 75 cents here in Canada

1 litre = 3.78 gallons.

Which means if your gas is $1.00/litre, that converts directly to $3.78/gallon.

Get out your calculators.

(.75 $/L) * (3.78 L/gal) = 2.84 $/gal

That figure is in Canadian dollars. The conversion rate is 0.78548 USD/CD.

(2.84 CD/gal) * (0.78548 USD/CD) = 2.23 USD/gal

I was in Birmingham, England earlier this week and it was hovering at a little less than a pound per litre. Let's have fun with conversions!

stand_back_square_0.png

(.97 ?/L) * (3.78 L/gal) = 3.67 ?/gal

Money.MSN.com says the current conversion rate is a scant 1.48854 $/? (ouch)

(3.67 ?/gal) * (1.48854 $/?) = 5.46 $/gal

And to actually contribute to the thread, I just filled up my guzzler 1966 chevy impala at $1.56/gal.

I'm saving about $12 per fill-up since the prices have gone down.

My neighbor drives a Ford F-250 and commutes to work - he's saving about $100 a week on gas

Gas here where I live, cheapest I have seen is about $1.60.
Not too bad, definitely better than that $3.90 gas a few months ago. ;)

Sure is nice to fill up my F150 without having to promise my kids first 10 years of earnings. :D

Another drop. 1.51 here in Springfield Missouri. Think we're lucky? We're not. It's so low because this place is just a CESSPOOL of neo-conservative right-wingers, meaning there's like 0 taxes on the gas. In exchange, we've got crappy roads, crappy schools, and crappy o=public buildings. Guess there's a price for everything, though =D

Here in england its around 95 pence a litre which makes out as $1.40 per litre.

Which makes out $5.29 per gallon.

update 1.99 orange and according to my history teacher gas has been the cheapest it has been

don't get to happy, when there is a glut (surpluss) of oil it can be as bad as when there is a shortage.

but we aren't near that point yett :)

The stupidity of our English fuel prices is none other than... TAX! Not harder to get or more expensive to buy, they just tax us to kingdom come.

$1.64 here in North Dakota.

Lol, currently we dont have a surplus, its the economy that is causing our gas prices to drop. Once economy is fixed, the gas prices will go back up

well thats not 100% true. The cost of a barrel has fluctuated, but most of that has to do with Futures Trading. And then because of tax.

i saw $1.57/gallon yesterday

Way to poop in our Cheerios.

Its like 1.99 here. I love it. If i stayed between 1.50 abd 230 per gallon i would be content. It could stay lower and id be even happier. This has cut my cost to drive home from school on weekends by about $30-$40.
