Resolution halp

I just got a new 26" samsung TV that Im currently using as my monitor too. it works great and all, the game resolutions are clear just like they were on my 19" monitor. But... on things such as the internet or around my desktop/desktop icons they are very blurry, to the point it hurts my eyes to look at the screen.

I want the screen to fit my whole monitor, but i also want the resolution or "sharpness" of the font to be clear enough not to stress my eyes. is there anyway to do this? please help

my video card is an ATI radeon x1650 pro if that helps

Well, if it's a 720p tv you will need to set the res. to either 1280x720 or 1366x768. The main issue is that it only accepts a VGA input, which is analog. Which means that your card is having to convert it to analog and the TV is having to convert it back into digital in order to display it. This will cause quite a bit of quality loss and will result in a noticeably fuzzy picture.

Most TV's have weird aspect ratios so you're kind of out of luck.

Analog to Digital or vice versa will have no loss of resolution or cause blurriness as far as i know.

I've never once been able to get any of my LCD TV's to display the picture crisp and clear like you would get on a monitor. So it's just one of those things. If it accepts HDMI you could try doing that. :O
