Hey guys i need some help.

hey i have a laptop and i want to connect it to my lcd monitor. what kind of adapter would i need for that to work? anyone know? just reply to this. thanks.

Well, do you have any display ports on your laptop? DVI, VGA, HDMI, etc? What kind of port is on the Monitor as well?

Yeah. Most laptops over the past 3-4 years have VGA and/or S-Video out. If they don't, you can buy an external adapter, but they are expensive and generally not worth it.

f you don't know what kind of ports your laptop has, a photo of the LCD cable and laptop ports might be in order. Or at least the model numbers of both.

hey jaxory the monitor has a D-Sub and a DVI outlets. and the laptop has an s-video outlet i believe. but mrcool do those adapters usually come pretty pricey??

no that wouldnt work cause thats a usb to a DVI outlet. i need a DVI to a S-video adapter. do they have those anywhere? any help?
