Thats what paintballs about, being active, running about, getting shot, and having fun.
Its exilirating and intense.

Yea. No rush or adrenalin or the thrill of bunkering someone in a console game.
However, I have a friend who goes Nutso over the real thing and console game. He would get a kick out of this, if he doesn't have the game already.

Exactly. Games that involve killing people are popular because it's not something you can legally go do! Some games are recreations though, like DoDs, or CoD.

But for other games like GTA, it's all about doing things that you could never do in real life.

However, this game is speedball, and I play scenario (in the woods/urban environment)

Paintball was never intended to be a combat simulator, contrary to popular belief. If you notice, "guns" are supposed to be called markers and when you "shoot" someone it's tagging them. It's supposed to be more of a ranged game of tag, like laser tag and such.


But regarding the game, it looks interesting. Paintball games have such a different style of gameplay that it's not comparable to DOD:S or CS:S... I remember playing a Sheridan paintball game wayyy back, and it was loads of fun so I *may* take a gamble and try it. I wonder if they have a demo on Xbox live...

Thank you for explaining that to people. That was one of the reasons I couldnt get a club at my school, I tried for three years, since it looked too much like "war games" they said no.



Paintball actually started out by national park rangers. They needed to mark trees that needed to be cut or had a disease so they invented an airgun to propel a paintball through the air so that the rangers did not have to walk up to each tree and spray paint it, saving a lot of time. This practice eventually even spread to marking deer and then finally it became a game.

NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 is one of the worst paintball games I have ever played. The game is just pure crap. Now if you want to play some real paintball games try Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball, and Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball Max'd. Those are how paintball games are suppose to be made. Until game developers take paintball as a legit sport they will continue to make crap game. Now if you want a awesome paintball game take this one out.
