Weapons Class Skills

I'm not sure that any class requires more skill than another. It's really about the characteristics of the person playing it.

For example, I'm TERRIBLE at MG. I just can't seem to fire quick enough, to lay in the right spot, etc. However, I am great at charging people, catching them off guard and using nades/surprise to my advantage. Similarly, I can set up the rocket and fire off a long distance kill with ease.

The real skill is recognizing your strengths and weaknesses, and picking the class that suits your abilities.

Sonicsuby knows what he's talking about.

It really all depends on personal taste, as well as personal strengths and weaknesses.

hardest to use: k98, non scoped.
snipers, you have to have the right mindset, you need to pop around corners scope out knowing where to look, or camp from a distance.
rockets, even if you're no good with the rocket (i love me some rocket kills) have excellent secondary weapons - the carbine and c96(?) both are great close range, and the carbine is even reasonable at longer distances.

so, why the k98? Because it has none of the advantages of sniper (precision) and all of the disadvantages of SLOW bolt action.

If you don't agree, and have never played dod 1.3 before, spend a week playing it and you'll understand - for those that have, recall that in 1.3, the k98 has what seems to me a faster rate of fire, and more importantly, is a 1 hit kill weapon! having to shoot someone twice (in the upper body hit box) is an incredible disadvantage for the source k98, because unless you're fighting another k98 or a terrible assault player, you're pretty much done for... if the gun were still one hit, or were faster to use, or the ironsights made it that much better it would be good, and i'd say sniper to be hardest because you have to have patience... but alas, i vote for the k98. what an awful gun.

the k98 is one hit kill unless you hit them in the foot or something...?

I would have to say that the K98k takes the most skill, because of it's bolt action, which needs a much higher degree of accuracy compared to the Garand.

The Kar, is easy to play, aim, fire, dead... simple as that...

Walk around the corner pull the trigger on someones body, one hit kill, and then crouch behind cover while resetting the bolt, repeat.

rocket is the hardest because people can see its coming and dodge it like dodge ball hahaha
:D

I would have to say the sniper takes some skill. Unlike the Rocket you have a smaller targeted area to hit. And your vision is narrowed.

I would say Rocket because u have to aim precise or u really don't do any damage to them.

Honestly i think most people are overlooking the machine gun, your totally vulnerable while ur not deployed, when you are you cant move, when you fire you have literally EVERYONE looking at you, everyone knows where you are. Plus it isn't the biggest on accuracy, Ive had an mg where if i aim at someone it'll outline them and not even hit them at all. Now I'm not saying that it is the hardest I'm just saying you guys should think about it more. And i think all of you are really taking the rifle over its head too, its perfect for long range as long as you can aim, compared to an assault the ""easiest"" of all is totally USELESS at long range. Although i do think rocket is one of the hardest classes even though it has an area of effect damage. Rocket may be the hardest but i think that machine gun is the most dangerous because your completely defenseless while moving, and unlike sniper you need to prone to fire and when you do fire everyone knows where you are.

I find the rocket very hard to use when it comes to moving targets. I guess the class I handle best is the K98 Scoped. Lol, with the sniper I can actually have 100 more kills than deaths all the way ^^

I would say the rocket because the purpose of the rocket is to hit those spots which other weapons can not. Pretty much all the spots which should be naded out, but the angle makes it far too difficult to nade.

In my opinion, I say a bomber is the hardest class. It's just some guy (assault, support, rifleman, ect.) with a grenade. Despite how it sounds, it is indeed hard. You got to get your timing right, know where's a good spot to run, and make sure no one else kills you before you take the enemy with you. If you played with me on Flash, you'd know what I mean.
