just bought the new call of duty game and while installing it stick on "finalizing instalation" for a long time but finally installs. but even after install when i go to start a game the menu just disapears and nothing happens.

ive tried updating audio and graphics drivers and it still does it. ive also tried to install the patch but i keep getting an error saying that the install of call of duty is invalid!!!

anybody having same problems or know how to fix this? by the way my pc more than meets the minimum requirements for the game

oh scratch that finally got it to install after uninstalling and reinstalling but still cant connect to online play. keeps saying iam not online??? anyone help me? oh ive applied that patch also now

well basically i had to uninstall the game and reinstall it, only i had to try the reinstall 3 times before it was succsefull. even then i couldnt play multiplayer.

even after reinstalling 3 times and installing the patch i couldnt play online but could only play solo, are there issues with world at war that you know about?

every install is not guaranteed it takes multiple installs to get it working. all in all theres something wrong with the game.

basically this game isnt working on my system, unless i try multiple installs which isnt right, ive googled these problems and apparently iam not the only one. thing is i havent been able to google a solution, so hoping for help

I'm still not sure what the problem is. No offense, but the way you type is hard to read.

So, you cannot get online? This is probably a problem with punkbuster, as something similar happened to me with COD4 upon release. Basically, go to The punkbuster site and make sure it is up-to-date. I am sorry, I cannot help you on determining or installing PunkBuster, as I know nothing about it because I no longer play the Call of Duty Series.

No idea on why you have to reinstall the game several times. Does your computer at least meet the minimum requirements?

well during install it would freeze up and stop installing so i had to stop the install. but having stopped it i could still get the game to play which i found strange.

then when i started the game i found i couldnt play online. i tried reinstalling because i thought that maybe because it had frozen during installing it had something to do with not been able to play online.

but perhaps your right my problem might lie with punkbuster thanks ill give it a try.
