Ban Contests:
I've been prodding through the CS:S Ban Contesting forum and I noticed that there are a lot of people who believe that Starscream, who is an eG, is banning them, or some other eG's. I've even seen it from our e's that an eG banned them. Not only can this be considered false accusation, but they are also putting a, hopefully, innocent admin on the spot. I'm just trying to remind everyone that eG's can not ban and only eGO may ban. Just a quick reminder to those e's who do not know. Another thing would be that all e's need to try and read the rules before they go into jail and start saying that we are wrong. Most admins that you see a lot have read the rules and know them, I myself have them printed out, so please, don't yell at us because we tell you the rules.
Admin Chat:
This section goes for all pubs and admins. We do not need back talk, especially in front of everyone in the server. If you really need to talk about it, take it to the forums and post about it, or you can even PM us on steam, I'm happy to add you if you have a problem. Also, spamming it will not make us help you any faster, so please, if there is something important you need to bring to our attention, do so sparingly and not spam it. And if it really is important, you can contact us through admin chat by pressing the team chat key, putting in an @ symbol and a space and typing out your message. Some people do not know this, and if they do contact your in front of everyone, be sure to help them and you can even tell them how to for future reference. The last part is people coming from TF2 or DoD:S going into CS:S, our admin chat is chill, we don't mind talking about random things in admin chat during play time in CS:S. I've seen many TF2 eG's tell me, and a few Admin Recruiters and even Advisers to not use admin chat for things other than admin related stuff.
Wardens:
I also want to talk to you guys about wardens. I heard that we have been having problems with this "warden" business so I would like to state it right now, we don't go into game and just say "I'm warden," most of the time the T's, which do include pubs and eGO members, decide, or the CT's decide for themselves. A warden is someone who makes the rules and then every other CT usually just follows. We do not have an "Official Warden", because there would be too many, and if two came in at a time, then chaos might erect and then there would be yet another reason for jail to go down.
A lot of people believe they are qualified for warden when they first get in, but you need to understand a few things about them. All of our Jail server wardens are usually:
1. Nice (Although Starscream claims himself to be mean)
2. Understanding of the rules
3. Know what you can not do (Goes with number 2)
4. Get's along with others
If you qualify for that you have a chance at becoming warden. Now, being warden is not an "official" thing, it's just there for fun and more game play, so don't take it too seriously. This last part goes to any eGO member who thinks they can over rule a pub on the Jail server. That statement is sort of misleading, yes, but what I mean is, if a pub says to go somewhere, you should not say, "I'm an e you go to the pool right now" this is a form of abuse in my opinion. You are in the clan, but that does not mean you over rule pubs on playing a game. You are just as good as them, for example, Dr. Death shouldn't come into jail and start barking orders over Mr. Winters (A very good warden) because Dr. Death thinks he is better because he is in eGO. Now I know Dr. Death wouldn't do this, but Dr. Death is a very high ranked person, and that is what I am trying to get at.
Jail Rumor:
There has been a rumor going around that you won't get promoted to eG or eGO if you stay in jail a lot of the time. I don't know where it actually started but this is wrong. I have talked to Ill Legend about this and he confirmed that this rumor was wrong. I myself can not play dust2 or office without having Jail on auto-join because I can't play Office or Dust2 due to the lack of skill. So don't worry about not getting promoted.
