nah they have to finish this story line up first. And didn't Valve say that Episodes 1-3 are basically Half Life 3?

They have already announced that there will be 3 episodes, and that those make up HL3, you are correct.

The episodes are a trilogy. Valve decided to release them in parts. Effectively, they create Half-Life 3. I still think that the game after Episode 3 will be Half-Life 3. As for some hope, Valve announced back in December that they will be making an official announcement "soon". Making plans to make plans......

No, no. They have yet to do the IMPORTANT thing first. They really need to make an engine that will critical-error crash my computer. I don't care about a new half-life, even though I love that series more than any other, as much as I care about an engine that is so incredibly awesome that my parents HAVE to buy me a new computer.
