Does anyone play AoC?

If by similar type games you mean MMO RPG's - then yes. There are a couple Guild Wars threads, and it's not hard to find WOW players.

I pre-ordered the AOC collector's edition for around $100 and was really pumped about the game. It turns out that the game was released with waaaay too many bugs. I stopped playing after my first free month.

Forgot to mention that once you were 80 there was absolutely nothing to do.

I'm actually in a worse predicament...Preordered the collector's then bought a second normal because I figured me and my old man would fight over the account.

Biggest mistake of our lives.

So you were dissatisfied with it too, then? My girlfriend and I enjoyed the aspects of the game that actually worked, but as the game progressed, those aspects dwindled out to be nearly nonexistent.

When we quit playing, we figured we'd come back to the game a few months later once the bugs had been worked out and content had been added to fill in the gaps. I have heard that they've made a LOT of changes, but it came at the cost of chasing off everyone that was initially excited about it. I think those people got a bad taste in their mouths; I don't know if I'll go back or not.

After $100 and a terrible first 30 free days, I'd like another 30 free days to see if they've redeemed themselves.

nothing

spamming gets me in all sorts of trouble...i shouldn't be doing this at all

Rutru, I don't think gold farming, and other illegal activities are supported:D

I know Lt.Wolf from DoD:S has it, but he plays EQ II these days. The only MMORPGs that could ever interest me were WoW and WAR, just because it was SO huge, lol

I'm an ex-WoW player, tho I quit before WOTLK. The game lost its charm after Burning Crusade came out.

As for AoC, I played it for like 2 months, got to level 50 before all the bugs, graphics problems and annoying PVP system drove me insane.
