Just built My New Game System.

Hello Everyone​
:)

Like i informed everyone a little while back I was planning to give my AMD game system to a family in my area that had 2 very small children and a teen age young man (15).
The system was less then 6 months old and was quite a very good system. Once I re-formatted the hard drive and re-installed to OS I gave them the system along with a new copy of DOD, CS, and half Life. I hope they enjoy the computer and games. I wanted to give them all something to help the complete family.​

I asked some time back your poison was on CPU Chips, Ram, Video Cards, Hard drives and etc. After looking through and reading all the information posted I built my new PC and it is running today.​


Case.
Antec NSK6580B Plane Black Computer Case with a added CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W Power Supply (My two youngest kids got this at x-mass for me).
Mother board.
Intel? Mother Board DX58SO (the Wife picked it up at X-mass for me)​
CPU.
Intel? Core™ i7 processor 3.20 GHz and H/s/ fan (My oldest Son Picked this up for me a x-mass).​

The rest of the stuff I picked up my self.

Memory.
8 gigs of Triple channel DDR3.
Video Card.
GeForce GTX 280 1GB GDDR3.
DVD Burner/Player.
Pioneer Black 4X Blu-ray DVD Burner SATA Model BDR-202BK
And a ASUS 20X DVD?R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA
Hard Drive
Internal Seagate Barracuda ES.2 1TB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache
Audio.
On Board 8-channel (7.1) Dolby Home Theater* audio subsystem with five analog audio outputs and two S/PDIF digital audio outputs (coaxial and optical).
My OS
XP Pro.
Monitor
24 inch GE​
(family got it on my B-Day)


This system was being planed for some time. Im looking forward doing some gaming on eGO with you all. Thanks so much for the Tech Info.​

That's real cool of you to donate that computer man. I hope they enjoy it. Your new system looks like a smoker. Best of luck with it. :)
 
WOW, only questionS left are... Does it fly? Do your work for you? Go shopping? No to any of these means it needs to go back, or send it to me and Ill take it. lol jk, very nice setup. I wish it was my own.
 
It's a veeeery good system, the only thing is, get another hard drive for the OS, something like a Western Digital Velociraptor.

Gawd, I wish I would get PC parts for Christmas. Maybe I don't... nobody around me knows what to buy...

yeah for christmas i would probably have to order everything then my mom would pay for it after cause she has no clue. that is an awesome rig though i cant wait to build mine pretty soon

why does everyone like antec cases so much? ive seen the 900 and its junk.:confused:

Otherwise thats an extremely good system. Have fun with it.

I also hope that you are running 64-bit XP. Otherwise your computer will only use 3.6 gigs of your RAM. Also, 64-bit vista is faster than 64-XP incase anyone else reading plans on getting 64-bit XP.

how do you have 8 gigs of triple channel ram? triple channel arrays possible values are 1.5gb, 3gb, 6gb, 12gb, and so on so i dont understand how you have 8 gigs?
