I like XP Pro alot more than vista. I us Vista at work and i have a high dergree of distrust with vista.

I have used antec cases for a long time now with power unit replaced first. I have used other case but i keep returning to antec cases. I guess i dont have an answer other than i have used them for some time and dont see my self changing.

The 8 gig's of ram question the mother board will hold more memory than 8 gigs but i thought more than 8 gigs right now was a bit much; however the 8 gigs was afforable at the time and more than enought to run what game i like to play right now anyway. The ram works for me.

The price was a bit much i sure but i did not buy all the parts myself so i could not say to be honest.

Thanks for the info. My youngest son Dweeb_III plays it on his x-box 360 and i have been looking for some info on it. I rather my two son;s play on eGO they do play on x-box live and also eGO servers.

Like i said i enjoy games, I enjoy so so much eGO and its gamers i thought i would build somthing that would be nice to enjoy both at the same time...

You bought 8gb of ram and only planning on using XP Pro?

Nah, nah, nah. Use either XP 64bit or Vista Home Pre/Ultimate 64bits. 32bit OS show 3.25gb of ram thus what you paid for 8gb, youre really spending that much for 3.25gb.

I have 8gb on Vista 64bit, I booted back into XP Pro, went pfft 3.25 forget this and formatted the partition (well planning to anyways).

I don't think you understood, i was asking how you had 8 gigs of ram when the triple channel only supports 1.5gb, 3gb, 6gb, 12gb and so on, and i never see a pack of 8 gig triple channel sticks... so you confused me.

I'll go ahead and follow this up and ask instead, since it was I who sparked the originating question on IRC. We're not necessarily asking how you have 8GB's of RAM. That's easy enough to do with a varying amount of methods. What we're trying to figure out is how you have 8GB's of RAM running in a triple channel. Running 8GBs of memory in triple channel is impossible afaik.
