need help with tf2

I just reinstalled my TF2 and no matter what I try about 10 minutes into game, my game crashes. Doesn't matter what map/class or where ever I am, it just crashes

What are your specs? Are you using the latest drivers? Is there any dust in your case? Has this happened before? Does it happen with other games?

Any other info is welcomed.

i actually think i solved it. i have an 8600gts and i had completely forgotten to update my drivers in a long time. i had like 174 and apparently 181 was out.

the problem is back. but now it only happens every 15 minutes or so.

i ended up going to vista home premium and its all good now

i doubt its hardware/software.

its most likely heat because the game load on the card creates allot more heat. download evga precision, you can custamize the fan settings or set them on auto. brainless. or buy a better heat sync.
