Your first PC game

Well, by PC do you mean Windows based? If so then I'm going to go with Doom. I was definitely playing Doom before Quake 1. First online game (sort of) was Quake 1. A buddy of mine had some weird tech job so he had two laptops. He bring them into the local pub and we'd set up a peer-to-peer (this in Win95 mind you, connected via RS-232 cable) and play Quake 1 deathmatch over a few pints.

If I can take PC to mean any personal computer then I'm thinking of stuff like what Morbo is saying. Probably either Lode Runner or Ultima III on the Commodore-64 or Zork on the TRS-80. I was playing D&D on the Intellivision and Adventure on the Atari 2600 (stupid bat, give me back my sword) before that but I don't consider either of those a PC in any way.

Oh, BTW, in case you haven't guessed: I'm old;)

Damn, I've really had to think about this one. I believe my first PC game might've been Full Throttle. We had a bunch of free games that came with the first computer my parents got, and I'm pretty sure that was one of them. I know we got Battle Chess 4000 fairly early on as well.

Those are games I played on my own computer anyways. If I think a little earlier than that, I remember playing Monkey Island and a couple other adventure games on my cousin's computer when I was really young.

Wow this is pretty cool seeing how YOUNG some of you guys are hehehehe! My first PC game was RED BARON by sierra, cant really remember the year but it was the first true flight sim quickly followed by aces of the pacific and aces over europe. I had commander keen, wolf 3d, the original side scrolling duke nukem, original command and conquer, wingcommander privateer (still one of the most awesome games ever) the list could go on forever.

If I had all the money that was spent on everything from the atarii 2600 I got for xmas when I was 5 to the nintendo DS I own now, I would probably put it all into precious metals :O

Leather Gods/Godesses of Phobos. for DOS.
