Anyone got some tips for a newbie?

Just looking for some things to know/remember when playing CSS because so far what i can tell is that im pretty bad , i just got the game 2 days ago though

aim for head, shoot in bursts

Look for blood drunk because he will be hiding, waiting to knife you

Actually if you aim for the head your pretty much going to miss if your starting out.. Aim for the upper body. When you spray lower your cross hair down to the ground as you do it. Don't rush, play passive! <- That is a biggy when your playing in scrims/matches. Shoot in bursts when your shooting from a distance as stated above. Lastly as of now i can't think, have fun!

strafing helps dodging bullets.
strafing is basically just moving left to right constantly to dodge the enemy's fire.

and, when you sign up with FBG, make sure to donate plinks to the server, which is earned by killing/planting bomb/etc. just type !donatepl (value)

it earns the clan stuff, like scrim opportunities.

One More thing use your map to see where teammates are and if you see them die then I usually look for the enemy that killed them

Radar is very helpfull indeed. Yes aim for head but you have a better % chance of hitting someone in the body then the head. Just practice a lot and have fun. You won't get better in a couple weeks, takes time.

I find it helpful to pray to the counter-strike gods. Also a nice grilled-cheese sandwich sacrifice is sufficient before most sessions.

accuracy/reaction time/map knowledge/battle smartz

gotta learn how to shoot, gotta react faster than your opponent, GOTTA know the maps(everything around you, camp spots, strategic spots), and you have to, have to have battlesmartz. get headphones!!! sound is very important in this game. relay what sounds you hear to what you see around you and on radar and that will tell u a whole bunch, n i cant even stress that enough! battlesmartz would be hearing that your enemy is reloading and taking action, or knowing when to kill someone, they may have friends following them right around the corner. reaction time and accuracy will come with time, but you need to always work on it. only burst, never spray, try not to move when you fire either. oh, n learn how to throw nades properly!
