So I haven't done many and I barely know what I'm doing so if you could, give me some tips and hints on how to fix stuff and/or make them cooler. Or just plain advice. Thanks!

You already got rule #1 down pretty well - make your text legible. Keep it up and feel free to pm or add me on steam if you have any questions. I'm by no means an expert, but I've learned a thing or two over the years.

Read up on some tutorials, and most importantly; find YOUR own style. Everyone makes different types of art, mess around with stuff until you start to create images that appeal to you and you enjoy making.

Yeah, tutorials are a massive key to learning the craft.
I've read loads of tutorials and I still do now. You can learn so much from them.

The most important thing in my opinion, is that the whole signature is clean. Make it attractive and nice to look at. I do that by not going over the top with anything, keeping it simple
