Scout update!!!!!

Im thinking its the sandman's taunt kill: think about it, you have an opponent stunned, at your mercy, walk up, taunt "Batter up, fatty!" WHACK

I mean thats no ordinary melee swing right there.

Who says Valve can't add a new stance, animation or anything for an unlockable? They aren't as lazy as everyone thinks, really.

Hmm, that's an interesting point there. I don't think he's calling Valve lazy, it's just a taunt makes a lot of sense. It would sure even out the possibility for overpower and abuse that this weapon could have

on the other hand, it may not be an ordinary melee swing for all other weapons, how about it is an ordinary sandman swing? or, if not ordinary, a sandman crit animation?

so far every melee and primary unlock has functioned and animated in the same way as the original (except for the KGB taunt). I greatly suspect that mouse 1 give you a regular swing, mouse 2 a ball shot, and taunt a homerun-ish swing.

Don't know if anyone noticed this or not :

Dodgers 1, Giants 0: Kill an enemy Heavy and take his Sandvich.

Since when can we take weapons? Does this mean the Heavy can take the scout drink?

I hope they work like that at least. Seems reasonable enough, and I like the thought of being able to take a wild swing that sends people flying.

Or maybe it has a decent-but-not-crazy knockback, and you're supposed to knock them off something for the achievement. Guess we'll know soon enough.

You drop your guns when you get killed and people can pick them up for ammo. I'm guessing the heavy holding a sandvich will drop it on death to be grabbed as a medpack. Maybe it's always been like that and we've never noticed.

When a heavy holding his sandvich is killed it drops like a gun and can be picked up for variable health depending on what class you are, by enemies or teammates, always been like this.

Out of the Park: Bat an enemy 25 meters.

According to the scout update site, you have to bat an enemy an actual distance to get this achievement... maybe the sandman will hit the enemy away while they are stunned so you can't do whatever to them at your own mercy... it would certainly take some amount of skill that way.

It's possible to bat someone 25 meters with the normal bat, you just need a Crit and need to kill someone on the battlements on 2fort :]

The middle cap of Blackmesa is also really good for this if you can get someone to fly over the rails (im looking at you snipers)
