I believe the sandvich, and the bonk were both community suggestions. As was the sandman and natascha. So we shouldn't be complaining really, especially since we haven't even gotten a chance to see them in game.

I think the Bonk is going to be excellent, loss of pistol or no.

Imo, the loss of the pistol for the ability to close the gap ridiculously fast with no damage from bullets or to run past the sentry in the hay room in 2Fort and most likely being unnoticed is damn well worth it.

Maybe they chose to give the scout something to drink because of his rivalry with the heavy, who has something to eat. If so, means there probably won't be anymore food in the game.

hmmm, i would like to draw attention to the achivement: beanball now i know its already been said *points at medichunters post* that scouts can rebound balls at the scout, but hang on, maybe you need to be useing the standard bat to do it? i mean come on loseing the ability to double jump is all well and good but when it comes down to it ValvE will give us more reasons to pick and choose our weapons

EDIT: also its been said that ValvE is really going to make this the spy update...you know what? i think that this is a real update, but valve will either: show us the gamemode the gun or both tomarrow if its not both then after the weekend it will be the other...then at the last moment they'll reveal that this is'nt just a scout bananza, the spy has been hideing in the shadows this whole time! (dramatized) i REALLY hope so >.< scout and spy both need updates

Scout can outsmart bullets... Who said anything about rockets or melee weapons?
Also, People still need to unlock it at first, no drinking a radiated cherry soda if you don't have it unlocked yet.

That Bonk! energy drink will probs be nice with sandman (or would without restriction of no double-jumping). If it doesnt take long to drink or lasts long enough, then you can drink---stun-- and run super fast to kill, or other way But we'll see, I just tend to suck as scout anyway
