The death of the F10 joke?

heh, I bound F9 to explode so when I was near death and no medics I could just kill myself, it's really embaressing when I accidentally hit f10...

You know I really never knew what was so bad about f10, I've seen worse where admins actually hack people's cfg, changed people's bind, and even tricked people into typing gg in console >.>, or tricked nubs *COUGH KSJDLKSJDS ME SKJDSKLJDKLS COUGH* into binding "bind mouse1 "kill" thinking that they would get freekills whenever they shoot >.>

F10 is a mediocre joke, and I do not understand what's so embarrassing about pressing the button..it's not like anybody knows that you pressed the button >.> they probably think you just left the server to go find a new one >.>.

I read that. I understand how F10 shouldn't be an auto-kick anymore but what about Alt+F4 or "unbindall" jokes. I had it explained to me by Drunken Sailor that the intent behind the teller of the F10 joke was to mess-up someone else's game. And thus the auto-kick was a not-so-subtle way of saying "if you intend to mess up some one else's game, we will mess up your game". While F10 now gives a prompt in TF2 (and is this even a warning offense anymore?) Alt+F4 is still insta-quit and "unbindall" does even worse. Following the mess-up-someone's-game logic, should these not still be insta-kicks?

And should I be posting this in Q&A and not here?

The rules on this have not changed to this point. If they do I promise we'll let you know in as many ways as possible ;-)

All jokes of this sort are to be dealt with in a serious manner. However, we do follow the W/K/B policy for these. To quote Admin101:

Some jokes are just not allowed. F10 jokes(steam/source based games) and Alt F4 jokes aren't okay, and the same goes for Unbind All jokes, and Unbind Mouse1 jokes. Basically, anything that severely hampers a player's ability to play the game. Let the player know that was unacceptable, then if they continue kick them.
