80mm vs 120mm

What you wanna look at for the fans is the CFM, in terms of effectiveness that is the main thing you wanna look at. Also, the thing about 120mm fans is that they can move a lot more air at lower RPM which translates to quieter fans.

the things that I look at when i am buying fans is noise level and the amount of air the fan can push.

in my opinion the best combination is to have more fans running at slower speeds instead of having a loud fan that pushes a lot of air.

I would probably go with 2 fans, but with my case it would be between 120 mm and 140 mm.

look for very nice fans...you dont want them loud because that will get annoying...hope you find the right ones :)

i'd go with the 120mm fans, you can have them operate more quietly and still have the same cooling effect, i'd even go for larger ones if possible!

Keep the XION
My friend had the same case before, then he moved to an Antec 300. Ended up frying his processor because apparently the XION's cooling is way better than the 300's.

As for 1x120 vs 2x80, unless the 80s are low quality, they tend to be better as you get more air flowing/circulating around your case instead of just in or out (depending on direction).

Personally, I don't care about fan noise at all, since I use headphones and can't hear them most of the time. You could get something like the Thermaltake Tornado if you're like me, those things can hover in the air but they're loud as hell.

Or, on the other hand, you could do a bit of case modding and stick a massive 200mm fan on the side, that would be one of the quietest things to do.
