Got myself the Steelseries Sibera V2 USB edition, and I must say, it is amazing.

The headset covers the ears perfectly. Like its first version, the regular Sibera, it is one of the most comfortable headsets I've ever used, and it's closed (meaning, once you have the headset on your ears, it blocks alot of sound! You can barely hear people talking!)

After installing the driver for the USB sound card, you can choose between 2ch, 4ch, 5.1 and 7.1 surround audio, you got yourself a sweet piece of equalizer and equalizer profiles for each headset from Steelseries, like Sibera V2 FPS, Sibera V2 MMO, 5H V2 Music and alot more!

The sound I get from it is awesome. After doing some customizing on the equalizer, all music got 5x better! The bass is amazing! You can hear every detail in the music (which might be bad for low-quality songs) and for FPS games (if you put the equalizer on Siberia V2 FPS), it's almost as if you know where the enemy is!

It's definetly a 10/10!

I think I might be taking a good hard look at the a40's. Expensive but I like the overall design and funcionality. Been thinking about buying a good headset for awhile now.

Got his on amazon for $50 last year. I had to stop using it since it didn't work with windows 7.
From previous use I can say this.

The headset boasts a force feedback, which is supposed to give the user a more integrated experience. It provides a rumble in the direct that action is happening. If an enemy shoots you from behind, the rumble kicks in behind you. Personally, I never use it, since it's kind of gimmicky.

The headset claims to be 5.1 surround sound, but does not completely live up to the expectations. The sound quality is superb and comes in nicely. Occasionally it would lag out on me while I was using vista, but they updated the drivers, so it shouldn't do that anymore.

Few downsides to the headset. It is a bit tight for people with larger heads, so extended game play would require small breaks. The software itself requires a bit of fiddling with to get it to work, but once it works, it performs very well. The drivers included with the headset are outdated and will not work with windows 7. HOWEVER, they have recently updated the drivers and they are available on the website.

All in all, I do recommend the headset for people with smaller heads. I bought this as a gift for myself and was not disappointed.

I ultimately got G35s. They were on sale for $100 at BestBuy and I happened to have $25 off in rewards money so I got a brand new set for $75. I am pretty happy with them so far. Left 4 Dead 2, DOD:S, CS:S, and AvP all sound good.

Got the Tritton AX180's, they work with consoles and the PC. Decent flexible mike, $30-50 and comfortable and nicely built. That are however a bit small and not full surround, however I paid $30 for them so no surprise there.

Very great, highly recommended and IMO better then the Gamecon headset.

I have these same headphones and love them! I think the mic could use some work though. Had to exchange a pair that I've only had for 10 months, but they are still better than any Logitech headsets I've owned (which is surprising).

Logitech G35 Headset. It's a very nice headset with loats of comfort, its voice isolating(spelling) so you cant hear anything else than your gaming which makes it great for gaming. It's the best headset ive ever had.

i have a sennheiser.. they are amazinggg.. but a bit pricey the only cons about it is it is really bulky and big on your head

I currently use the Plantronics 355 headset and I don't like it. Pic here

The over the ear design isn't what I normally go for, but I thought I'd try it out with this set. The padding is minimal so wearing it for long periods is too uncomfortable. The mic doesn't flex as much as I'd like and the sound is average. Now in all fairness it was a $30 set so I got what I paid for. It was an impulse buy at Microcenter while I was there with my son getting him his first headset for the 360.

This headset is designed for the intention of using it on an Xbox 360, however, it works for PC and PS3 (No voice chat on PS3, however).

I use this for my PC as well as my Xbox 360.

Pros:

• Works on all platforms.
• Amplified Stereo.
• Amazing quality.
• Great bass frequencies.
• Separate controls for mic, voice volume (xbox only), and game volume.
• Very comfortable.
• Mic doesn't break easily... at all.
• Mic is loud and clear!
• Better than my Razer Carcharias Headset.

Cons:

• Mic doesn't filter background noise.
• Doesn't isolate noises (Doesn't cancel out noises from what's around you very well.)
• Can't use voice on the PS3.
• Cord is ~16 feet long... who needs a cord that long?
• Needs a $30 adapter for HD on console platforms.

All-in-all, I would suggest this headset to anyone looking for a new headset. It's pretty much a steal at ~$60!

I, about 1 month back now bought a Plantronics .Audio 310 Monaural PC Headset. It's very good, has very clear sound both that you receive and what you say down the mic, and it's quite cheap, too.

Im in love with the headset, (hate the fatal1ty branding...but u cant win 'em all lol) great sound, little lite on bass for 40mm drivers, but over all foot steps come in LOUD, i never get complaints about how i sound over the mic, and they r closed cup, which means detailed sound with out have to crank the volume thru the roof, only real complaint is the Fatal1ty branding lol, worth the $50 i got em for

I have a pair of Tritton AX180's.
They cost about $80 but they are universal, you can use them for the PS3, PC, Xbox360, Wii, and Mac.
Pros:
You can use it for any current gaming console
It has a flexible and removable mic
Comfortable Earpads,
Good sound when turning the volume up (mainly for music)

Cons:
Long cords, can make tangling a bit annoying
The rubber part of the Headphone on the top tends to scratch my scalp and it starts hurting after a while
Sometimes microphone needs to be repositioned to have the mic work


Overall I like the headphones alot, I think they are worth the $80 and most of the pros make up for the Con's. Anyways i'm only 14 I might of not went in depth enough for this forum but I think they are a very good pair of headphones especially if you need a microphone for multiple consoles.

I'm gonna pick up a headset with money I get for Christmas. Looking like it's gonna be G35s according to this thread and other reviews I've read. Some helpful stuff here, though.
