Astro BXR Red A40 Wireless System
This system is worth the $279.95. You will understand why the MLG has chosen Astro Gaming for 4 years straight. I've had these since the Wirless MixAmp™ 5.8 came out. The headset is actually capable of 7.1 surround sound (If you have a compatible sound card with 7.1 Surround Sound). The review of the A40s with the original MixAmp™ states it is only capable of only 5.1. This is true with the use of the MixAmp™ and Wireless MixAmp™ 5.8. The Wireless MixAmp™ 5.8 also carries a Dolby chip so you will receive that crisp sound you have always wanted in a headset.
Pros:
∙ Deep bass with the use of the MixAmp™
∙ Wireless Ability
∙ Sound Quality is 10/10
∙ 7.1 Surround Sound (on PC with compatible sound card)
∙ 5.1 Surround Sound on Consoles
∙ Dolby Sound
∙ Light Weight (Ability to game for hours without neck strain)
∙ Very Adjustable
∙ Music quality is AWESOME
∙ Covers the ear (No ear strain)
Cons:
∙ Long Wires = Big mess
∙ You will need to purchase the MixAmp 5.8 PS3/PC Chat Cable to use the mic on the PC or PS3 (Only need it if you use the MixAmp™ 5.8)
∙ Batteries die quickly (Rechargeable batteries are a must)
Overall:9/10
