I've got a Fatality Creativ Gaming Headset. I've had it for about a month, it's actually amazing. Microphone is really good quality, clear, noise-cancelling and long-term. The headphones are really good as well, like the micro-phone; it's noise-cancelling so when I'm playing some Dust2 or some Office. I can hear really well. It really helps you concentrate as well; keeps you focused and attached to the game.

I recently bought a turtle beach headset because they sponsored eGO.

Thats the one I purchased, and I've had it about a 2 months now and I LOVE it.
Pros:
-The way the mic plugs into the headset ensures that it won't come unplugged randomly
-Perfect cord length, I can walk from my computer to the microwave and make hotpockets xD
-The amplifier control box works well and is a good distance away from the actual headset so it doesn't get in the way.
-Headset feels good on my head and doesn't give upper jaw or ear pain after hours and hours of fragging newbs
-The headband automatically adjusts to your head, and feels great.
-Strong Bass
-Really really loud
-Mine came with a splitter type thing for the audio ports in my computer. This allows you to hook up speakers too. (Never used it)
Cons:
-My cord is really really wound up, probably from extended time inside the box.
-No sound directly to the rear, but its not easily noticed unless you are listening for it.
All in all it was well worth the ~$100 spent on it, and I love them.
Even with on board sound its still amazing.
I'd buy from turtle beach again when I need a new headset

Similar review except for the X-52 headset. I like the sound quality, but one bone to pick with this.
There's an incredibly basic design flaw. The screws fastening the earphone to the "headset" pulled through an incredibly thing piece of plastic. It's also because they had the headset attached on the inside of the earphones, so when you pull out on the headphones to put it on your head, it puts a large amount of stress on the screws. it should have been done in reverse.
Despite having both screws pull through within 2 days' use, I returned them. Response was a little slow, but I was satisfied with the service.

YAY!!! i can give an official review for the shoddy razer headset i bought. i bought the razer 5.1 surround headset a little over a year ago. i've treated this thing like gold since i bought it, never abused it or really left the house with it for a lan. then a couple weeks ago the plastic over the left ear just kinda snapped and broke. i would say it's due to time used and what not but it wasn't abused ever and the blasted thing cost 130.00usd. never ever buy this headset

With onboard sound, it was like any other headphones. With a high end sound card (currently the PCIe Creative Fatal1ty) it is AMAZING. With the right hardware, these headphones will blow Bose away. The sound quality is so good, I'm more than willing to overlook all of the other flaws of the product.
This thing is fragile. Very fragile. I took good care of my pair, only removing them from my head by lifting the cans on each side, gently setting it down, etc. They broke once within the first month. The bridge that holds the can to the strap over the head cracked. Luckily for me it didn't break all the way off, so I filled the channel with quick setting epoxy and continued rocking. Another month passed and the swivel joint broke. There was no sort of reinforced hinge there. It was two pieces of 1mm plastic with a screw between them. Poor engineering, and once it breaks it's not completely fixable. The best I could do is run a zip tie around it to hold everything together. I'm waiting for the other side to break.
In all, it's a decent headset. The sound quality is so amazing that I don't really care about the zip ties. I mean, that's all that truly matters, right? The sound quality is the reason you buy them in the first place. This headset is great for the price range.

I bough a Turtle Beach Head set (Ak-R8) its really cool because you can do so many things. Like what your sound sounds like. There are like 25 different environment settings. There is surround sound. I wore them for a straight 8 hours and my ears never started to hurt. Its really nice and the sound sounds great.

I have an Earforce X1 for the Xbox 360 from turtle beach. Its compatible with the PC so its all good. Its a good headset for the price point. My only complaint was that the mute switch broke. But its still a good headset. I cant wait to get a newer one.

I got the same headset a few days ago for my Xbox. I love it so far. It's very comfy after long sessions and the sound quality and mic quality is great. I can't use it on my PC because of a broken microphone port, but its a great dual feature there.

cyber acoustics - Seems to be a good sound quality reliable headset.
Hmm.. My current headset is a CA one I picked up for cheap from Microcenter... It's a bit old and a bit worn (read: stepped on a few times), but it seems to still work fine... That is only if I turn off all fans and shut the window! Any breeze seems to make it sputter like an Irishman on a weekday!

You all have me drooling. Unfortunately I'm unable to spend money like that. Somewhere along the line i became legal guardian to 4 kids.. I cant justify buying a nice headset over keeping food on the table for them. $15 walmart headphones will have to work : )
and they work very well for the $20 you pay for em too.

$20 turtle beach surround sound headsets?? Where?!?!
Razer Piranha
Pros: Good microphone quality, durable. Strong plastic, cool lights. GOOD BASS!
Cons: If you have a big head or big ears, you'll notice your ears and head will start to fry after +3hrs of use. The microphone is on the left side. The sliding bar on the cord/volume panel for the Mic ON/OFF is loose. It sometimes falls down, during the mic off if you make a slight movement. Next time, RAZER, flip the ON/OFF so that "Mic ON" is when the bar is moved DOWN, instead of making the bar loose so it sometimes cuts off.
Other Thoughts: Bass is amazing. I'm amazing. Go buy this headset.

The reason why i got this was because i needed it for MLG tournies for Rainbow Six Vegas Pro Circuit. Most pros have one and it gives u an advantage over others
This headset is worth the money 100% because u get whatu payed for at $250.

i love this head set it sounds real good u can adjust the sound from all directions as well which is nice it is only a 5.1 but it works well and it is very comfortable only down fall is the mic is short but it still seems to work well..
