Both Call of Duty's are definatly worth trying.

Just my 2 cents:

Either consider CoD4, if u have the money to buy the game atm
or
I really urge u to consider purchasing Mirrors Edge (that game is addicting)

Prince of Persia is also a good game to go for but a little bit to much!

Also that game is a RPG aswell.

Fallout 3 is amazing, but isn't strictly a FPS game. Bioshock was also really good if you're looking for a good singleplayer fps game. CoD4 has a great singleplayer campaign (but a short one), and good multiplayer on eGO servers. CoD5 singleplayer is pretty good, but I like modern weapons better for multiplayer. The choice is yours.

o.0 OMG Angeal....Prince of Persia has been one of my #1 games since I first
played it with my cousin.

That and Solid Snake

I would echo Fallout 3
Throw in Left 4 Dead, it is surprisingly good fun multiplayer. Also Just Cause is a nice cheap game that is a pretty decent sandbox type explore and kill game.

Also a worthy mention to the Half Life 2 mod Empires.
