Nearly a year since I've played tf2

Its nearly been a year since ive played tf2 . I never really was too good of a player . Wich eGO server would any one recomend for sorta new players or rusty players ? I play hyperbol alot more than anything else but hyperbol has so few players .

earlier today i played on a tf2 server , got 32 deaths and 1 kill . then later i got 0 kills and 24 deaths . but thats cuz i fail at tf2 . i like tfc a bit better but tf2 is fun .

When i play i usually die 35 or 40 times and get 1 kill . if i get lucky i get more than 10

A good place to start would be 2Fort Instant Respawn. 2Fort is a very small map and easy to learn. Also you don't have to wait 20 seconds after you die.

Agreed, also when getting to know a map(well all normal CP/CTF maps) red and blue the just mirror of each other. And playing engi so people don't get upset that your runing around your base doing nothing.. As for your k/d ratio, that my norm playing scout..

1fort or dustbowl are the servers ive learned best from . i still die alot though . but dying is part of the fun , even if my k/d ratio is opposite in a differant game i play .

Here's a question... how are you failing? Are you missing most of your shots? Are you trying to take on a heavy with a scout? Are you playing a spy, but not disguising yourself? Are you sniping without zooming in?

There's lots of ways to fail in TF2.


Give me the answer to these three questions and I'll help you to not fail:

1) What class do you normally play?
2) Are you an offensive or defensive player?
3) Can you shoot the wings off flies at 50 paces or do you need a grenade to hit the broad side of a barn?

I would recommend the 24/7 2Fort eGO server (the normal spawn time version). Great map for new or semi-new TF2 players. Whenever a buddy of mine buys TF2, I always suggest they play 2Fort before the rest. Great map to learn the ropes.
